Last night was our first visit and our only regret is not visiting sooner. The service, decor was incredible and the only thing better than that was the delicious food. Presented so beautifully and so full of flavour. Very reasonably priced. Couldn't have loved it anymore. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We ate in the restaurant four times once for lunch and 3 consecutive nights for dinner. The food was excellent and the service was 1st class. The next time we are down staying at Carden Park the Egerton Arms will be our 1st port of call.

Great service, nice and simple menu and a great selection of beer and gins. Even on a busy Friday evening we didn't have to wait too long so, all in all, we had a lovely meal and an enjoyable evening

Such a lovely setting in a traditional English hotel with beautiful gardens. The dining room we were in was perfectly dressed with crisp white linen and bone china for our delicious afternoon tea. We were served by a lovely young lady who was very attentive and pleasant. The afternoon tea was delicious with well filled sandwiches, great cakes and really lovely warm scones. Overall a really pleasant afternoon with my mum. Well done Mere Court, I would certainly return.

Made a regular trip to Bacchus for lunch and had a very nice meal from the fixed menu. The usual attentive, friendly service from Jason and his colleague which makes for a lovely dining experience.

My husband booked for our anniversary. When we arrived there was a board with our names on wishing us happy anniversary , a rose and petals on the table . We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco . We ordered several tapas dishes , wine and dessert. The food was amazing , the service outstanding and the atmosphere is lovely . We were sat in the garden area The extra effort put in to our booking was above and beyond . In our opinion very good value for money . A pleasant surprise these days . This was our first visit and we will definitely return to Lilac cottage .

Went for afternoon tea,surroundings excellent,staff very friendly and pleasant,and the presentation and food was excellent,would definitely book again to what was a perfect afternoon.

Took my sister to this lovely restaurant to celebrate her birthday. From the moment we entered we were well looked after. The food was fabulous as was the service. Great choice of food and two courses for £25 was very reasonable. Would strongly recommend this restaurant you won't be disappointed

The Sunday lunch was delishious, really tasty and a good variety of veg. The only thing that let it down was the costco chocolate fudge cake we were served for desert. I will definitely be back.

Everything was first class from walking in and being seated, drinks and food ordering and the food was fabulous. All the staff we encountered were delightful, personable, friendly and had a great sense of humour. Well done to all

Great afternoon with the girls having the bottomless brunch. Food was amazing, the the cocktails were delicious and the service was perfect. I would highly recommend a visit!

Another excellent Sunday lunch, very friendly service with outstanding food, I had both the lamb and beef for my main that was very tasty, hot and with great roast potatoes and superb looking and tasty vegetables. Been here before and has never disappointed will be back again and we do not live local.
