We have been coming to the Horse and Farrier for a good few yers now and loved all of our meals here, but last nights was a cut above anything we've had here before, Compliments to the chef and his team and see you real soon again.

We’ve been regularly over the past 5 years and it just gets better! The food is amazing, a cut above usual pub fare, the menu is imaginative, all sourced locally and most importantly delicious! The staff are super friendly and welcoming and provide first class service. And if that’s not enough they serve superb real ales all in a proper Lakeland pub!!!

Fantastic meal from start to finish, the food was obviously scratch cooked and made on the premises and was delicious. The restaurant was full and had a great atmosphere. None the less the staff were quick off the mark and drinks were on the table in a blink. It's a family restaurant in every sense of the word from the cooking to the staff as well as its clientele.

A fabulous find in Grasmere and well worth a visit. A great menu with lots of choice and all perfectly cooked. Recommend the sea bass! Warm atmosphere with excellent friendly service. The team were super busy on our visit but it didn’t affect the level of service in the slightest with Lewis and his mum still making time to chat. We will absolutely return when we next visit the Lakes.

We visit the Pheasant whenever we are on holiday in Keswick, about three times a year. The quality of food is always exceptional and the service is second to none. Let them know in advance if you are taking a dog, and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. Can’t speak highly enough of the place. If it’s beer you’re after with your meal, there’s always a top selection. Nothing plastic about the Pheasant, it’s a rustic delight.

Booked here for a meal on our last night in Keswick, no regrets. Despite being a little cramped in the bar area due to having our pup with us, we can not fault this place at all. We enjoyed 3 courses, and each meal was absolutely stunning. The beef pie was just incredible. We will definitely be returning here on our next trip to Keswick!

Had a meal at Lewis's Bistro on Tuesday evening after reading reviews and was very pleased we did! Great food great service and a great atmosphere. Will return whenever we are in the Lake District again 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
