Absolutely perfect, food amazing, staff lovely, nothing to fault.

We went for lunch on Saturday 25.1.25. Pre booked. Busy on the day. We both ordered from the specials menu. We had the haggis neaps and tatties. It came with a large jug of gravy. The food took a while to come due to the volume of people , but it was worth the wait. We tried one of the guest ales, tiffin gold. Worth trying if you like ales. It was refreshing and went well with the food. For dessert we had the amble crumble with ice cream and the chocolate salted caramel tart with ice cream. Both desserts were lovely and we would have them again. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Would go back.

We went for our second meal enjoyed the whole dinning experience .The service was amazing no rushing us .friendly staff and food was amazing .Tapas dishes were so tasty pizzas were home made and excellent .An overall a memorable birthday meal .Would highly recomend

Absolutely amazing here. Would recommend for a date night, family meals, friend’s evening meal, small dinner or just a few drinks. Amazing staff, could not of asked for better!

The quality of the food is always excellent at the Pheasant and yesterday wasn’t any exception. The chicken bacon and leek pie is an excellent choice as was the the chicken stew I had off the specials board. It is a very cosy, traditional bar with a great focus on quality food.

Another lovely, cosy meal at the Queen's Head Tirril. Friendly staff and a good village feel.

Took my dad out for his 91st birthday at lunch time today. He had the burger and I had fish and chips. They actually were not going to open until 5 but very kindly served us anyway. Food was very well cooked. Staff could not have been more attentive. I can’t wait to go back and try the roast . Good luck with the venture… oh and the lobster ravioli sounds lovely

Amazing food, and dessert menus. I’ll defo be back. The korma & bread & butter pudding was amazing and my partners sausage, egg, chips & peas and also the xmas pudding. Also it was my first time going.

Our Sunday lunch was excellent, with the beef cooked to perfection. The staff were also excellent, friendly and attentive. The experience was only let down for us by the ambience; we found the dining room cold and rather gloomy. Lovely building though.

Nine of us received excellent service from this restaurant. The food quality was generally thought to be very good. The choice on the menu was also good, with plenty of veggie options. Alcohol was a little too expensive, but the food was very reasonably priced we thought. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely revisit next time we're in Carlisle. The central location was a bonus.

Two of us had three courses and each one was lovely. When we visit the area again it will be our dining place of choice.

A friendly greeting on arrival and quickly seated. Serice was excellent and the food was very good and served on warm plates. A relaxed atmosphere and very enjoyable evening. We will certainly return next time we are in Keswick

We had 2 roast, sharing platters which were excellent. Just enough food for 4 which meant we could have desert. The apple crumble cheesecake and sticky toffee sundae were beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

Went at 5pm on a Sunday - husband had the 3 meat roast dinner and I the fish and chips. Food was sensational - absolutely gorgeous and cooked to an extremely high standard. Staff were lovely although a few service issues to iron out such as no cutlery on the tables, salt shaker was brought with no salt, drinks on the bills that weren’t ours but nothing major and all problems resolved immediately. Overall brilliant and would return!

Fantastic sunday lunch, great value for money and fantastic quality.. Easy booking process and good communication with Greg for pre ordering, very easy process!! Highly recommend
