Very busy which wasn’t a problem as handled well and professionally. Food was excellent and our whole party loved what they ordered. Drinks were also excellent.

I have been visiting here for years and never disappointed. Lovely food, well presented and nicely cooked. Staff were so helpful and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

We spotted that there were a lot of cars outside The Pheasant a few days earlier so took the chance to book. I can see why it is so popular. Excellent home cooked local food and exemplary service.

I also wanted to add that the portions were huge and well worth the money we paid. The service was incredible.

We had a fabulous meal on Sunday. My husband had the Sunday lunch and I had a vegan lagine, and vegan apple crumble and custard, which was to die for! Keith was very attentive and him and Linda made sure that my mark was totally vegan . The place is cosy with an open fire and very clean. I would definitely be back to eat again

Lovely meal, pleasant and attentive staff. The fact that our table was wedged cheek by jowl between two others at the front of the room was a bit uncomfortable. We might as well all have been sitting at the same table! No chance for private conversation.

A delightful bistro with delicious food and friendly staff. And a real bonus - able to cater for coeliacs. Actually made eating out a pleasure. Book in plenty of time as seems very popular.

The food and service at Grants in Penrith were both excellent. Unfortunately the interior decor (only saw the front part of the restaurant) was not as inviting. Needs 'softening' in some respect.

Went for a meal last saturday great meal and great service

Went here for a birthday meal, service was not good. We waited 25 minutes to even order our food and then didn’t receive our mains for another hour. We then had to wait ages for our bill to be given to us, at which point we had to go up to the bar ourselves, which would have been fine if we weren’t told to wait and our waiter would bring us it. Food was okay, my boyfriend enjoyed his pheasant, but the Cumberland sausage was overcooked. Disappointed as this place was highly recommended to us.

Had Sunday lunch at the Pheasant Inn, Keswick and wow it was lovely. Great atmosphere and great food.

We enjoyed our dinner meal at Pheasant Inn. The food was very good. The service was slow but the manager apologized and explained that they were training new servers. We enjoyed conversation with another couple at an adjacent table. We had a pleasant evening at the pub.

We love everything about the Wheatsheaf. Top of the list for us in food quality and service for some years now and very good value too! Worth a mention….If you order the steak pie(scrummy!)don’t forget to order your veg too as not included. Book early!

Brilliant roast, wonderful service. Really enjoyed how welcoming the pub was to us and our dogs, thanks again.

The starter was lovely but the mains a little bit of a let down, it felt like trying to be something its not, well not yet. Service was good along with atmosphere. Just need a tweak on food. At the moment not good enough for us to go back.

Very enjoyable evening at Lewis Bistro. Food very tasty particularly as red wine sauce on haddock gave me an excuse for drinking red wine with fish. Friendly and fast service.

Been here a couple of times and were in the Lakes for our 60th birthdays. Had an amazing meal and the staff are so friendly. I would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. We had French onion soup for starters and rack of lamb followed by cheese cake . Delicious x Thank you to all the staff we had such a lovely night xx
