Great food with amazing friendly service. A definite return

Brilliant service, fantastic service, couldn’t recommend it enough

Dined early September on our wedding anniversary. The food was lovely and service was fine. Yes it is a small establishment but there was plenty of room and the atmosphere was great. We’ve already re booked. Looking forward to our evening.

We were staying in Keswick for a long weekend when the Pheasant Inn was recommened to us. The earilest we could get a booking was on a Sunday which we booked. However, we decided to go to the Inn on the Friday to see if there was a cancellation, when a local offered to give up their table so we could have a meal which we gratefully accepted. We also managed to book a meal for the Saturday for 4 people after the Llandlords juggling of the tables . All the staff at the Inn were extremely helpful and the other diners were very friendly. I had a different meal each night which I thoroughly enjoyed. Unfotunately we do not live in the Town so cannot make it out local.

What a great find super atmosphere. Walking distance from the Rydal Hall campsite . It was busy but we had booked and were seen to straight away. Really enjoyed the beer and the food. Not the best vegetarian choice - curry too hot - but enjoyed what I ate. At the end of the night it was a treat to see the badgers.

Outstanding food; outstanding value for money; outstanding service. What more can we say after 3 meals in 5 days? And where could you even hope to find a more substantial Sunday roast at anything like the Pheasant price? Remarkable value Thank you for making our Lake District week such a special break for all 4 of us. Greatly appreciated.

Sunday dinner for 4. The beginning was not good as they forgot the soup. The roast beef was a bit tough and the yorkshire puddings where crispy and not much taste. Overall the food was ok. Because of the forgotten soup we were offered free dessert. The best sticky toffee pudding ever! Would we go again? Yes. The service was exceptional. Totally outstanding.

First visit to this lovely pub. We loved the decor of the pub and the food was delicious. Very friendly and courteous staff nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be calling again soon.

Thought we stepped into someone’s living room but the food was great, I had the rack of lamb and my wife had seabass. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back next time visiting the lakes

Lovely venue, great food, quick service and very friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much we came back on our 2nd night and will certainly return in the future!
