Brill service food was so good lovely friendly staff

Food lovely always go there when we visit Keswick staff friendly need to book for a table always busy

Early evening meal on a damp August Tuesday. This pub was so cosy and staff welcoming, no wonder it’s popular. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had squid starter followed by venison bourginon with fresh vegetables and Cumberland sausage and mash. First rate pub food, much better than most. Good understanding of gluten free options and dogs welcome. Park roadside or car park nearby.. Tickex all the boxes!

After a long drive up from the south we needed a location that was not a challenge which asked too much from it's customers. Grants supplied a very decent offer on wine and more than acceptable food offering after we had phoned ahead due to the delights of the M6! Nor crowded on a Sunday night but a pleasant experience after a long day. Would be happy to return if in the area again.

Very poor service the staff didn’t want to know some of the meals were not complete dishes missing not once did the staff ask if everything was okay we asked for a sweet menu and they couldn’t be bothered with us

We always come to The Pheasant when in Keswick, very welcoming, lovely staff and very dog friendly, all the food is great and the Sunday Roast is the best!..book to avoid disappointment! Thanks guys, see you next time.

Great steak and ale pie using full shortcrust pastry with perfect gravy and veg. I recommend it!

As always excellent food served in a convivial setting.

We had a great meal. We both enjoyed every course. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. And to top it all off we are allowed to take German Shepherd in too

Decided to have a meal out from out Haven holiday on Saturday. Meal took a while to show but don’t mind that when the food is as good as it was that night and the helpings are huge. Good value for money. Shame we don’t live closer to visit more often

The pub very very nice but the veggie burger came with cold fries and a vege pate which fell to pieces. Not worth the fifteen pounds charged, very small plate....

Very friendly staff and accommodated our dog with an appreciated doggy treat. Food good and will return. Many thanks.

Lovely food red hot when arrived my only negative s are the chips are always under cooked and far two many staff falling over each other behind tiny bar .

We popped in late afternoon before a train journey from Carlisle. Very handy location and fabulous experience. Very friendly and helpful staff and our two mains were piping hot and very tasty indeed - penne amatriciana and fusili campagnola. We’d definitely return and thoroughly recommend.

Booked a table for 4, took over a hour for food to come out, had our food ordered desserts and they came over saying sorry were goung have to move you off this table it's booked for the next person even tho we waiting over a hour for food which wasn't our fault. We nipped to the toilet when we came back all our drinks had been poured away.

My second visit as the first time was amazing. Great place, great food and great staff. I’ll be back for more visits. Special mention to the manager (?) (short blonde bob) who was fantastic both times. I live 340 miles away but have been house hunting up north. I wish there was a branch nearer to me :)

Visited for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing. We ordered the reef and beef and it was to die for. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area
