Fabulous Bistro, Food was soo tasty, staff were attentive and friendly, altogether, a 5 Star experience, great wine list too (More Australian Reds Please).

Our usual visit to the pheasant provided the usual large, very tasty portions. Just a couple of things I thought could be noted. The parsnip shavings on the steak pie added nothing to the dish and soaked up gravy and I felt were unnecessary. Also our main arrived promptly but the veg arrived at least 8 minutes later and didn't include my favorite red cabbage. I noticed other tables did get red cabbage, which was a shame for us. Just a couple of niggles but the hard work of all the staff was much appreciated and we will return.

Booked a table for 1800hrs ,we were told in our email to arrive promptly which we did ,had our drinks order taken and our main meal ,drinks arrived but we had to wait 50 minutes for our meal .however food was vey good .

We have been to this bistro on numerous occasions and it has never disappointed. It is always full so a reservation is highly recommended.

Visited Keswick recently and went to the Pheasant Inn on our first night and went back again on our last - food is superb - portions massive and staff very friendly - will definitely visit again!

Had a meal at the pub twice during our stay. Excellent food and great atmosphere.

Superb Meal & Desert, 3rd time this week, had the Fillet Steak with New Potatoes instead of chips, Chef excelled himself, Desert my Wife just said "Yum". 1st Meal was Fantastic too, 2nd Meal of Lamb mediocre, overall, 5 Stars, Service was fantastic too, we'll be back.

We’ve recently moved to Brigsteer and have eaten at The Wheatsheaf a number of times now and have only been a little disappointed once. Otherwise, we have enjoyed a good portion of hot well cooked food in a nice pub atmosphere

After having walked the Fairy Steps, we sat down at The Wheatsheaf for some drinks. It is a nice place with good service. The evening we came back again for dinner. My wife ordered Salmon and I had Beef with stout which was really tasteful and recommendable. Unfortunately we are back from holidays now, but if I ever get nearby again, I will certainly visit the Wheatsheaf again. Please keep the stout on the menu! Best regards from Delft, The Netherlands.

Faultless! Excellent Gastro Pub with a lovely selection of food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Never felt rushed to vacate table. Would happily eat there again.
