The service was excellent and the food great value for money, promptly served with a smile. The beer was absolutely superb - so good to see a pub with someone who understands how to keep a great cellar.

Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalFood great, service great , great atmosphere an well priced very happy
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFound this pub on trip advisor. We were looking for a good Sunday toast. We were not disappointed. Lovely little pub. Great food with very generous portions. Highly recommend x
Pheasant Inn – KeswickVery good pub food, with good options for vegan and gluten free. Friendly staff and excellent service. Proper pub with good beer and great atmosphere, in lovely spot close to Rydal water. And actual badgers too (though we didnt stay up late enough to see them).
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalAs always a lovely meal and great service. The only problem is choosing from the menu as everything sounds delicious. I can thoroughly recommend La Mezzaluna and can’t wait to return.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFood was superb. Compliments to the chef. Improvement would be to order at table and not having to go to bar. Would definitely be a regular if lived in the area
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWe ate here twice in the last week. Both occasions were fantastic, the food was really delicious with generous sized portions and the service was brilliant. No sighting of the badger but we will definitely be back
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalCannot fault anything here, been loads of time and always excellent….
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleVery nice fish and crispy chunky chips with mushy peas for me. I could have done with more peas though. My husband had the steak pie and mash also with mushy peas, and he said that a portion of carrots wouldn't go amiss as they are not expensive and would be a contrasting texture. Having booked our table online, we arrived at 7 and had to queue for about 5 minutes to be seen and shown to our table, and the drinks took a mysteriously long time to arrive. However, we waited a relatively short time for our food. Overall a good experience, but we have been before and things were better.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. What more can you ask?
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleMy lad and I came to Grasmere for a race, and soon as we landed he wanted to come here as he liked it so much last year. The staff are very friendly, the food is really nice, the portions are pretty big. We've only ever eaten outside and it's a nice atmosphere, quiet even with the road next to it, a few cheeky birds hopping around eating crumbs, which really doesn't bother us at all, we like it. Unless something disastrous happens with the food, we'll be back again
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalGood well cooked food in a very pleasant atmosphere Will come back
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereSuperb food & service. I would definitely recommend and would love to eat here again
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleGreat staff always helpful and attentive Great food as always Dog friendly Good atmosphere
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely meal and friendly, helpful staff. We travelled up from Lincolnshire but some guests travelled a lot further to eat here!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe have eaten twice here now, and can honestly say, how friendly, this place is. The food is tremendous, plenty of it, nice and hot, and served quickly with a smile. I cannot believe how we have not visited sooner. We will definitely keep visiting as we travel to the Lake District (Pooley Bridge) often.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithGreat service food was excellent good vibe about the place Our second visit already looking forward to out third
