Excellent food, decent sized portions not over facing. Staff were very attentive.

Absolutely the best steak dinner I've had from arriving into the UK from Australia. Staff were amazing, the Italian Red was superb, we'll be back, our new favourite.

On our annual visit to the Lake District decided we must enjoy Lewis’s menu again even though we were staying over 45 minutes drive away. It did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. You know the standards have been maintained when the restaurant is full and there is a steady turnover of tables throughout the evening and people being turned away who haven’t booked. There is a good selection of starters an£ main courses and the portions are not small. Great care is given to the food presentation and it arrives all hot. Cannot praise them highly enough and would recommend them to anyone staying in Grasmere and the surrounding area. Well worth the visit.

As ever the food (a cassoulet) was delicious. The Farmers Arms is unquestionably the best pub for a meal in the South Lakes.

Visit the pheasant inn every year we go to Keswick . Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Pently of local beers to choose from.

We had an excellent meal there yesterday. The portion size was just right and it was excellent value for money. I would have no hesitation in making another booking.

We were lucky enough to be on holiday in Lake District on the same week as the monthly evening supper. The menu choice was superb and the actual food was delicious. Staff here are friendly and efficient and other than being drenched with rain as we walked from car to door, the evening was unbeatable, both in flavour and value

We were booked in at 2 .30 for Sunday lunch which we were really looking forward to. The place was really busy but we were directed to our table after getting drinks at the bar. The order for our roast dinner was taken within about 15 mins, along with the table of 4 at the side of us . They received their roast beef and we sat there and sat there! Eventually I asked a young waitress if she would check as we had waited 30 mins already and the other table had finished their main course ! After another 5 minutes our roast beef dinner arrived. We almost walked out but the food was delicious and a big plateful with lots of vegetables. I’m sure our order couldn’t have been put in!

Ate here on Saturday evening. My meal was very nice but the sea bass fillet my partner had was tiny and was certainly not worth the price. Service was very good. Very surprised to see two tables had a dog with them. I love dogs and no issue in a pub but not in a cosy restaurant.

Although the inn was busy the service was first class as was the food which was reasonably priced. This is our go-to pub/restaurant when we visit Keswick. Thank you to the staff of the Pheasant Inn for a very pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.

Very disappointed. We had Sunday lunch.Menu was different to website.My husband had beef and it was ok.I had pork and it was very gristly.I left a lot.No.one came over to clear our table so we left without having a desert.We was going to return in the week but won't be doing that

A group of 4 of us had a Sunday lunch, this is the first time we have eaten at the feasant, everyone was well pleased with our meal one even saying it's the best Sunday lunch they had had , service was very good from us entering the pub to leaving,we will definitely be going again when in the area
