Wonderful meal with my two daughters ,food fantastic and service was excellent thank you La Mezzaluna looking forward to our next visit soon
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely food and surroundings. The curried halloumi fries starter was amazing. Really like the authentic home cooking and the service was brilliant. Lovely staff and excellent service. Very friendly atmosphere and very well priced for the quality of the food we had. Will be returning soon, possibly to have a stay over.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe have been hoping to have a meal at the Pheasant for sometime and finally made it. It was top quality food with great service and atmosphere. Its well worth a visit, but very busy so book early.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickBeautiful food in a lovely traditional pub.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickDelicious food and friendly and helpful service.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe much enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere as well as good food.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithCame in Feb half term. Lovely cosy pub and great beer. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They were great with my children’s food allergies and intolerances. Would highly recommend.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent service and food was great.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely grub , fab service from a lady having to run restaurant and bar on her own but was fab well done !
The Tavern At Hale – Milnthorpe3rd time with my group (7 this time) Really friendly, helpful staff Great menu choices Harry (the dog) enjoyed being spoiled with bar treats
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThis is a relatively unknown gem in Grassmere. The menu choice is extensive and incorporates some interesting specials. My son and I shared baked camembert to start ,served with a pleasant chuckney, salad, dressing and bread. For main course my son tried ostrich and i had beautifully cooked beef strogonoff. Washed down with local bottled beer , it was a thoroughly pleasant experience. We will definitely revisit when we next stay in the south lakes . I just don't understand why there was only one other full table on a friday evening. Shame so many are missing out !
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereGreat pub food, enormous portions, great choice of beers, very relaxing wonderful old pub building with tonnes of charm and character, in a stunning location that you can easily walk to or drive to! Highly recommend and good value also!
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalCan't believe we have never eaten here before when we have been coming to the lakes for over 20 years. The food was delicious (one salmon & one chicken curry). Best meal we have had in a long time. Plenty on your plate and presentable. Staff were great, very friendly and polite. Will definitely be calling in again before we go home.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalHad the nicest meal in a long time on Saturday night at the Tavern. Sam and Brooke are wonderful hosts and the food is just amazing. We will be back soon thats for sure.
The Tavern At Hale – MilnthorpeSo thankful we booked here for our first night in Keswick. The food was absolutely fabulous - home-made chicken pie & home-made steak pie both were so tasty The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. It was very busy great warm atmosphere & the staff were wonderful. Here’s hoping our other bookings in Keswick are good!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe shared the scallops and the fish trio both delicious and very well presented. Again we shared the Mille fleur dessert. Loved it My husband had the steak with a peppercorn sauce. Ordered medium. It was a well cooked and presented main I had the pork 3 ways. 2 out of 3 great. The pork belly was undercooked with a thick layer of undercooked fat. And the potatoes need more seasoning and sauce The wine was good value. I did ask for a gin martini. But your lively lady said that wa something she could not make as she has no vermouth A pleasant meal in a nice place We will be back
