First visit in quite some time, staff very friendly, food as good as I remembered and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe had a table booked for 4 people on a Sunday evening. Service was excellent and very friendly. The food was superb; fresh and home cooked. If you have any four legged friends, we could see that they are most welcome in the bar area. Best pub food in Keswick, we will be back on our next visit to the area.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat pub atmosphere. Food really nice. Service very efficient and friendly. I’d recommend any day!
Pheasant Inn – Keswickfab weekend at the Glen Rothay, amazing accomodation and food. Staff exceptionally friendly.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalExcellent food, service and atmosphere.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsAmazing food, wine & atmosphere
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThis man's currys are spot on, I've had a few currys in my time and this was definitely up there, service from the lady was spot on too, lovely little hidden gem in the lakes, will definitely be back and would highly recommend. Very good value for money too, portion sizes are spot on.
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereWe booked for a table with six friends on a Saturday evening. The Wheatsheaf is a lovely cosy pub and the food is delicious. My only criticisms would be that our table was directly next to the front door, so we constantly had a cold draft everytime someone went in or out and were constantly getting up to close the door after everyone. I’m afraid the service was also far too slow and it’s not the first time we’ve had that problem. More attention should be spent on dining customers rather than talking at the bar.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood was delicious and made to feel very welcome.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat friendly service, excellent food at a reasonable price.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad dinner on the20th everything was so good I’ve eaten here so many times never ever had to complain service food and staff are simply amazing it’s some where special as you are never going to be disappointed
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleI have eaten here numerous times now and the food is consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. In my opinion it is the best restaurant in Carlisle.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWonderful attentive polite and knowledgeable staff. There's aren't many places these days that take all the ladies orders first and pour for the ladies first. Lovely food and not that much more expensive than the rest of the restaurants in Grasmere. Ribeye, venison, salmon and pork steak all perfectly cooked. Crisp, white tablecloths. Interesting service charge (£7.50 or 10% whichever is least) would have been happy to round up further. Well worth consideration... We're even going to see if there are any deals to stay later in the year
Rothay Garden Hotel – GrasmereThe staff were very helpful, the food excellent and the service very good. Unfortunately, despite sitting by the open fire, it was cold. It was a very cold day and the heating was not on at lunchtime.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely food. Good atmosphere. Pleasant attentive staff. We'll be back with friends. Thank you.
The Belle Vue – CockermouthWe booked this venue after reading various reviews on Trip advisor for somewhere to eat. We were not disappointed. Starters were good and for main course I had chosen the chicken and the waitress ( I think owner) was chatting to us and said like her you can eat chicken at home, so I changed to Venison. Again it was cooked to perfection and was excellent. The deserts were good as well the amount of toffee sauce I had on sticky toffee pudding was much appreciated. We will be back not sure when as we live a long way away. We were sat at the front front, and i think the upper section is probably nicer atmosphere. Mike
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe booked here after a wintry walk in the fells and mountains near Derwent Water/Keswick. The service and attentiveness of the staff at the pub was excellent. And the atmosphere and food equally so.. we had Lamb Henry. Would highly recommend if you are in Keswick area. We will definitely return!
