Excellent food, Great atmosphere

First time at Grant’s and we enjoyed it very much. Plenty of choice on the menu, and the dishes we chose were imaginative, well cooked and nicely presented. Having said that, we found the starters a bit small for the price charged. Main courses were better in that respect. The atmosphere in the downstairs area was a bit lacking, and we would probably opt to sit upstairs next time.

Had a lovely lunch here during a day trip to Carlisle. We had booked ahead, and were glad we did as the place was busy! This is clearly popular with the locals. The food was amazing - we had the risotto pollo and fusilli calabrese. We also shared a dessert. Wow. Gorgeous!! We will certainly return here - and bring friends who share our love of good food. Staff were friendly and fun. Service was quick but not rushed.

We had a lovely dinner after a long day in the fells. The service was great, the food was excellent and plenty, couldn’t have asked for more.

Despite being very busy the staff were polite and friendly. We were served courteously and in a reasonable space of time. The food was nice & the atmosphere very friendly.

This was our third time dining at Lewis’s and was as good as it has been in the past. I had scallops and lamb chops, husband had the creamy mushrooms and the chicken pea curry. Our children ordered the arrabiatta pasta from the childrens menu. I know arrabiatta sauce is spicy but I thought it would be toned down for the childrens menu. Unfortunately not. However, the staff were wonderful with overtired (after a busy day) youngest son and offered him a replacement dish. Great value for money, the dishes are very substantial. We’re back in Grasmere in a couple of weeks so I’m sure we will be visiting the Bistro again.

We stayed here for just one night to go walking with wolves on the predator experience. We got the warmest welcome, felt like we was VIPs :-) they had upgraded our room and couldn't be more friendly. The rooms where emaculate, freshly painted and we felt very comfortable from arriving to leaving. Definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you Hope & Anchor ⚓️

Absolutely fabulous food and easy booking process. Reasonable prices for stunning food and large portions. Very well catered for as we were a group of 7. Best place in Keswick for pub food by far!!

Excellent food and service on our recent visit to launch mezalluna,will certainly be returning.

Have dined here many times over the last few years and will admit the experience went downhill a little from our initial impression. However our last two recent visits have seen a noticeable turnaround. Last night the online booking was easy, the service was perfect and the food was very very good. We’ll worth a try if you haven’t been, we will continue to go for sure.

Went for early evening meal with grandchildren, lovely meal and fab service made to feel very welcome and the waitress was lovely with the children, would highly recommend

Loved the ambience but the food was the real winner! Fantastic quality and quantity. Thoroughly recommend a visit but make sure you book.
