Fantastic food particularly the Thai menu. Great service and decent value for money
Kings Arms – UlverstonExcellent food and service. Great menu. Huge home cooked portions! Friendly and quick service. Best meal I've had in a long time! We went twice.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAmazing Food last night very tasty, Great atmosphere. The ladies who were working were very attentive nothing was no trouble, we will definitely be returning.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWorked out last night we have been coming here for at least 18 years and not had a bed meal yet. Food is lovely , whole family enjoys it. Good size portions and lovely deserts. Was daughters 13th birthday and they brought out her fester with candles in it and sang happy birthday to her. Will be back again soon.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWhat a fantastic stay and the food was superb
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenBooked online and despite being early my wife and I were shown to our reserved table. Like a lot of restaurants there are staff shortages which showed as after 20 mins we were still waiting for our drinks order to be taken! 20 mins later we managed to order our meal but unfortunately the order was mislaid so we were back to square one. The staff were very apologetic and when our food eventually arrived it was lovely. Our drinks bill was taken off our final total and again the staff were very apologetic. The bar and restaurant were very busy which begs the question why take so many bookings if you haven't got the staff to handle that number? Meal was excellent.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food and customer service
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe have eaten here twice recently, once for Sunday Lunch, once for an evening meal. Both times the food and experience were excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickEnjoyed a superb meal on Saturday with family visiting from Yorkshire . You are becoming our favourite place to bring visitors, food excellent and made to feel so welcome. Staff and atmosphere are both excellent, we will be back.
Kings Arms – UlverstonGreat cafe that is open for dinner too (check times). Very nice, friendly atmosphere. Central. Definitely worth a visit
Plant by Kat’s Kitchen – KeswickWe arrived with no prior knowledge of the Pheasant Inn. It was a delightful evening. The staff are genuine and friendly, the atmosphere is that of a real pub and the food was off the scale! It was delicious. The fish pie was as good as I’ve tasted in many a year as was the goulash. We will become regulars if this is the norm. Well done indeed (I don’t do reviews normally).
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent Sunday Lunch - sure more families would book if children’s portions were offered as full price for young kids is somewhat of a deterrent!
The Netherwood Hotel and Spa – Grange-over-SandsAnother lovely meal Staff are very friendly and helpful Will definitely return
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent as always nothing too much trouble .
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe had Sunday lunch on the late sitting. It was excellent; prompt service, fabulous food good beef and lovely fresh vegetables. Service was excellent too, even though they were very busy. Will be returning during this week. I appreciated also the option for a smaller roast, which was a good sized portion.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent Sunday lunch. The lamb was superb and its really good value.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleHad a meal on Sunday afternoon. The food was great as normal but the service was a bit off. Tables not cleared, drinks ordered but not delivered and several extra drinks put on the bill.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe were a big group with several young children celebrating a birthday. We were warmly welcomed and the food was good. The children were catered for and their was space for them to entertain themselves. Service was food. Altogether a lovely evening.
