Table booked online & confirmed Arrived on time table not available being used waited 10 mins ( no seating) Offered to seat us upstairs which was empty ! Food not as good as last visit

It did what it said on the tin. Pub food, served promptly with a smile. We were in the worst table for 2 in the pub but it didn’t spoil our experience considering it was a last minute booking on Easter Saturday. We will be going back. Excellent food and great pub atmosphere

Absolutely delicious food; friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Lewis’s offers food that is more special than a pub meal, but the restaurant is still nice and relaxed and we felt that it was good value. A lovely treat!

10 out of 10 yet again. Not the first time we’ve eaten at Grant’s as we are local so it’s on our doorstep we’ve always had a lovely meal & staff lovely too especially Heather. We will be back !!

I had the Monkfish, this was served with rosti potatoes in a sauce and vegetables. Unfortunately the sauce made the rosti potatoes soggy and unpalatable. The meal was served in a bowl which and with the sauce made everything soggy. The dish would have been better served on a plate with the sauce in a pot! My wife had the Duck breast, the duck breast skin should have been nice and crispy, it wasn’t! The chocolate fondant was dry and not ‘gooey’ as I was expecting. Overall we were very dissatisfied with the meal! Regards Alan Taylor

Very pleasant meal at the Greyhound Cotehill. The service was pleasant and friendly. The roaring fire was most welcome after a day on the fells. Recommend the Hunters chicken.

Beautiful place, very cosy and welcoming. We had a lovely afternoon tea, the food was lovely and enjoyable. A very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Beautiful Sunday lunch beef was fantastic. Cheesecake was even better, really nice beer will be coming back next time we are in the area

We had a really lovely meal on Saturday evening. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary so it had to be special. We weren’t disappointed, the food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the staff very attentive. We shall certainly be making a return visit.
