Couldn’t fault service, setting or food. Outstanding. Staff very friendly and hard working. Maybe helpful to have clearer signage re how to find parking in front of Bakehouse. It’s very tucked away especially in the dark. At first it feels like it’s all closed until you venture to the side.

The place, atmosphere and food were great. However service has haphazard, we had to ask for everything more than once, there appeared to be a lot of floor staff just wondering, the cakes had no labels and the table wasn’t cleared until we asked. It took 2 hours for for 2 course. It wouldn’t stop us coming again but we would hope for better service.

4 of us had breakfast at Charnleys Saturday 26/9. Food was lovely we had 3 breakfasts and one bacon toastie all lovely and hot and quality ingredients. Staff were all welcoming and efficient and made sure everyone was seated safely. Really easy to book a table on line all went smoothly. Would definitely recommend and return glad to see the Bakehouse back open the decor is really good too.

Whilst staying in Windermere we booked to have the afternoon tea. On arrival we were met by the charming owner Jonathan and given the opportunity to take tea outside on the patio. He then attended to our requirements for the whole of the experience. Delicious sandwiches and cakes with fresh cooked scones and homemade jam. Plentiful supply of tea of choice. Unhurried and very relaxed afternoon. Would highly recommend a visit. A perfect choice for afternoon tea.

What a fabulous afternoon tea! Cedar Manor go the extra mile to make their afternoon tea special. They started with a small soup topped with spiced oil and this was followed by a small prawn cocktail. Then we were served with fresh sandwiches- the smoked salmon and lemon butter was delicious. Then came the stand of freshly made cakes and scones. My favourite was the mini lemon meringue which was so light and tangy. Homemade jam was delightfully flavoursome. The service was exceptional and the quality of everything too class.

Great that the pub has reopened with lovely welcoming staff and a good selection of beers and ciders. So far I have only had the pizza from the menu as it is just sooooo good, and really worthy of a good pizzeria rather than pub grub. Well done all!

The staff were very attentive. The food was good but I would have liked a choice of potatoes with the chicken. Also the option of an extra veg would be good. Enjoyed the meal though in a lovely venue

Lovely food. We had the 2 courses for £15 - good choices on the menu and excellent value for money. Felt safe, happy with their virus precautions. Would definitely recommend. Would like to go back :) thank you.

After reviewing all the local Hotels for Afternoon Tea, we decided on Cedar Manor. We couldn't have made a better choice. It was absolutely delicious, with great service, and very friendly atmosphere.

We came for dinner on the Taverns first Saturday of opening up after lock down. The place was really busy and loud. We arrived early and shown to our table which was great... the reduced menu was presented to us and all the dishes on there sounded amazing. I chose the spiced carrot fritters followed by the breaded chicken with mac n Cheese. The fritters were the perfect combination of spices and perfect and the chicken was tender served with gorgeous comforting mac and cheese.i could fault them dishes at all. My partner had the black pudding scotch egg followed by the lamb. He assured me, and by the look of his empty plate that his meal was gorgeous. My son had a pizza and ate the lot.. The staff were lovely and obviously very busy but they were attentive without being intrusive which takes skill and all out courses were served in a timely manor. now for the negatives.. the noise.. there was a dog constantly barking throughout our visit. It was situated in the main bar with its owner who gave it the odd yank on the collar every time it barked but that did nothing to stop it. Other dinners also commented. I love dogs and have no objection to them being in a bar but I don’t want to listen to one yapping all through my dinner, they need to be well behaved. The other issue I found was children running in and out to the table near us... it’s not the pubs fault that parents don’t teach their children manners, I understand that. But to have them swing on mine and my sons chair every time they ran screaming past was a bit much. Again, not the pubs fault but it made the whole experience less than enjoyable. I would definitely go back because the food was beautiful and I never got to try the desserts( my partner was ready to kill the dog by this point) but we won’t be going on a Saturday evening.
