Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereHad a lovely evening on Friday 20th May. The staff are very welcoming and the venue has a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The menu had good choice and the food was delicious.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe had a 5* afternoon tea at Augill Castle recently. Everything was amazing. Lovely food, gorgeous castle, polite and attentive staff with a special mention for Jude who was amazing, a great welcome and a service second to none. It was a beautiful day, it was a dream to sit in the garden with drinks and to soak up the quiet atmosphere and stunning scenery. Can highly recommend, we will definitely be back.
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenToo cramped inside and the starter was bland and overpriced,I had the Camembert and it certainly wasn’t worth the money charged for it. Staff were friendly but didn’t know much about the menu, for example the young girl didn’t know what the soup of the day was and brought the right starters out but called them the wrong dish so we all had to swap them around between ourselves to get the right food. The inside is dated and needs better seating. On certain chairs you couldn’t even get your legs under the table because of the height of the seats. The main meal which was the pie was really good though.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent night. The food was amazing and the risotto was certainly very special. The staff were excellent.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe came here on a Saturday night for my birthday and we had a lovely evening. We were very late booking anything so we had a booking at 8.45pm but got there a bit early at about 8.30 and they were able to seat us early. Our server, Ethan, was great and very attentive. We had a lovely bottle of house white wine, and then I had the chicken which was absolutely lovely and my boyfriend had the pork which just melted in your mouth. We also couldn't go wrong with a sticky toffee pudding at the end. It was a lovely evening and if we're in Grasmere again, we'd be very happy to come back!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat food! Lovely staff.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent meal. Great gluten free options. Friendly helpful staff.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereTwo of us went the other night. Booked a table I’m pleased to say as they were full . Good welcome. Good service from Heather and very good food . Wine was good as well . Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and we will return . Must be the best in Penrith Thanks
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithGreat food, quick and lovely service.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAbsolutely amazing as usual
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleParty of 5 all ordered different meals from the menu and all were excellent, would definitely eat here again, staff were also very accommodating and cheerful
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat food, great service. The restaurant had a good atmosphere. The only gripe we had was as soon as our starter was finished and taken away our main was out in front of us literally about 10 seconds later.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVery good service, food very good pub food
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat portion sizes. Really nice tasty food . Great selection and good service. Price was very reasonable too. Cosy location meant a little more space around each table would have been good…..but will DEFINITELY being going again!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe have been numerous times for meals and drinks. My wife had the scampi, which is always good not the reformed type. I had the fish pie which is very nice, and hasn't changed in quality or quantity. Good range of beer and wine. Thoroughly recommend.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely food and good atmosphere. We were in on a Wednesday night for Pizza night. The new menu was unexpected as the link from Sugarvine sent us to an old menu but we weren’t disappointed. Staff were superb and the beer was great too! Booked again for Saturday brunch as the brunch menu also looked amazing and we were very glad we did. We found this on Facebook which seems to be more up to date as stated in the previous review. The Crown in Hash was so good and the sharing breakfast was a challenge for my other half who’s eyes were greedier than his stomach. Thanks to maisy and the waiting on staff for great service.
Crown Inn – PenrithThis is the first place we come to once after we’ve had a long weekend walking and wild camping for the incredible meat pie. The service is always amazing. Our favourite place in the Lakes! :)
