The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeI often choose Mezzuluna as a place I like to go to eat. the staff are always friendly. helpful and welcoming. The dining area is always clean and maintained to a good standard. This restaurant is suitable for all occasions and the food is to a high standard yet, reasonably priced. No doubt we'll be back again in the near future.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleSecond visit and food remains of a good standard. However it’s a bit lacking in atmosphere. Tables in line with the door tend to be a little on the cool side
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe received a voucher for christmas and before receiving the voucher had no idea Augill castle existed despite passing it frequently on the A66. But what a beautiful tranquil place it is. Booking was easy, parking plentiful. We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table in front of a log burner which was perfect on a gray cold day. We were offered tea or coffee quickly followed by delicious fresh cakes and savory bites served with amazing French onion soup. Overall we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended and will be returning to stay.
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenThis was our second visit to Lewis’ Bistro and again the meal was absolutely fantastic. The food is superb and restaurant has a lovely friendly atmosphere. This is now one of our favourite places to eat in the Lakes , and we will definitely be returning on our next trip.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood was good, some of the staff could smile a bit more and the menus could be better laid out. Also not enough light in restaurant.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleExcellent food, beer and service
