The Seahorse – GosportPopped in on a wet n windy Wednesday night. Pub was reasonably busy, staff were attentive and polite. Food was good value and tasty. Will be back.
The Seahorse – GosportA very disappointing experience!! We had booked a table and when we arrived we were shown to a dirty table and so moved to another equally dirty table which a lovely waitress cleaned for us, the floors and chairs were also dirty. My 3 guests ordered off the special lunch time menu all choosing scampi chips and peas which duly arrived on cold plates, the peas were cold and the chips looked like jacket potatoes deep fried, but had not been drained and were dripping in oil! for dessert they ordered syrup pudding which was a normal pudding cut in half and again cold, we asked for more custard which was of good quality and even served hot. I ordered soup off the main menu which was lovely but the smallest potion imaginable! i have to say the waitress was lovely i
The Seahorse – GosportAlthough it was very quiet on a wet, winter, tuesday evening, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was good and the service excellent. We will definitely return.
The Townhouse – LymingtonFantastic roastie as always, such a wonderful meal just like a home cooked roastie yum yum
The Master Builder – SouthamptonThe best roast you will ever eat. It is perfect every time, the roast potato’s were delivered from heaven. The staff are lovely, and the restaurant is lovely inside.
The Florence – SouthseaDelightful afternoon at the EEA, food and service both excellent.
East End Arms – LymingtonWe held my wife’s surprise 60th birthday party here and it was amazing. I had 3 incidents of contact and planning over 6 months leading to the event and DC could not have been anymore helpful, accommodating and friendly. DC went out of his way to help us plan the event, booked the whole of the restaurant area out for the whole day for us so we could set up with balloons, banners and bring a cake. He was extremely flexible around adjusting the buffet to suit all tastes, including a Vegan and one with Gluten intolerance. He was happy to add items and to put a pre-paid tab behind the bar so guests had free drinks. Overall the whole experience was amazing, he could not do enough to make sure Bev’s party went well and he also dedicated himself to serve us for the evening. The food and drinks were also of a very high standard and the prices were extremely reasonable. Overall, 10/10. Highly recommended.
The Townhouse – LymingtonWe are regulars and you simply can’t beat the service, quality and quantity of food - we always come out stuffed :) Definitely excellent value for money. BTW the Mexpresso is lush :)
Baja Mexicali – FarehamHaving previously enjoyed meals at the East End Arms, we invited friends to join us for a meal there on Saturday evening. On arrival we were immediately given an apology that the restaurant was about to close for a holiday break and the menu was restricted, and this proved to be true. The menu appeared more limited than I remembered and we were also informed that certain dishes on the menu were no longer available. When the meals arrived in some respects it also appeared that they were running out of supplies. The quantities of food also seemed to be rather restricted - very few vegetables. Also whereas our bookng was for 7.30, it transpired we were the last booking on that night, and it seemed all along that the staff were keen to get us to place our orders and get us served and out of the door. All in all whereas we were hoping to impress our friends as it was their first time there, I rather suspect they will not be rushing back.
