The Cosmopolitan Restaurant and Cocktail Bar – ChorleyExcellent food. Excellent service with a smile. Thoroughly recommend.
The Hapton Inn – BurnleyOne of the best eateries in Chorley. Everything is cooked and prepared fresh on the premises and the home made bread is excellent. Staff are very welcoming and polite. Fantastic value for money. Chorleys hidden gem.
Sun and Salt by Time For Mezze – ChorleyTook some friends for Sunday Lunch yesterday and I cannot recommend Bread & Butter enough. Courteous welcome from all the staff, superb service and the food was nothing short of exquisite! I have eaten here several times and I'm never disappointed. Ryan and the gang, you always do a fantastic job of making your customers feel like individuals, always welcome and you serve amazing, freshly prepared food... with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Thank you again.

A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe booked a table at the Waterwitch for our first of two nights in Lancaster because it was an easy stroll along the canal from Haverbreaks Rd where we were staying. The food and atmosphere was so good we booked a table for our second evening before we left the resturant. The food is homecooked and delicious, with generous portions and there is a good selection of ales and wines. The location is lovely and staff are efficient and friendly. Would certainly go again if we return to Lancaster.
The Waterwitch – LancasterService was terrible. We waited nearly 50 mins for food. The table wasn’t cleaned, it was full of salt. Food came and the crispy chicken was burnt. Table service was poor.
Finsley Gate Wharf – Burnleyalways good food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service from staff our happy place
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyThe food is excellent, however this restaurant is let down by some easily fixable issues. We were greeted by front of house staff at the door who were pre-occupied by talking about their shift, the customer shouldn’t hear those conversations, the focus should be on welcoming the customer. We were shown to a table beyond the kitchen. The room was harshly lit by down lights which made me feel I was in an operating theatre. The walls were stark and grey. Nothing about this part of the restaurant is cosy or welcoming, it was very clinical. There was a packet of broken bread sticks on the table and no other bread was offered or suggested. This is the first Italian restaurant I’ve been to where there is no bread. I presume this is a separate order, but the waiter should have asked if we’d like bread, olives, etc. I ordered crab which was smothered in thousand island dressing. It reminded me of a 1970s prawn cocktail which is not what I was expecting. The bread sticks had to suffice to accompany this dish. Crab is a delicate flavour which was ruined by mayonnaise. The dressing should have been offered in a separate pot. The main dishes were excellent, compliments to the chef. The experience was spoiled by a table of lads in laying video games on their phones very loudly most of the evening. At the end of the evening we watched as a waitress threw packets of bread sticks down into the empty tables like she couldn’t care less. We have been to this restaurant once in the past and we loved the food, but we sat in a smaller area. On that occasion the waiter was faultless and the atmosphere was good. Overall disappointing and lacks homely Italian authenticity. Please fix the clinical feel of the larger dining room. Some staff were not interested in the customer experience. Please offer sourdough bread as a standard. These fixes would elevate this restaurant to a superb level.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkVisited here on Sunday morning for breakfast. We ordered a full english, avocado on toast and two coffees. The breakfast was lovely, the staff were very attentive and friendly and I cant wait to go back and try some other items off the menu. Great :-)
