The Old Bell Coffee House has a sparkly atmosphere, serving snack type meals and 'to die for' cake selection - all made on the premises. Helpful quick service and always pleasing.

The Old Bell Coffee House – LancasterWe had our recent Xmas do here and we had a really good time. Good service, good food, good value.
La Salsa – DarwenRestaurant run down inside and dirty, toilets disgusting. Plaster and paint coming off walls and the outside window canopy held together with tape. Although the food is not too bad - takeaway recommended, eating in not recommended. Highly not recommended for sit down meal.
The Golden Lion – MorecambeMy husband and myself had an awful experience in this restaurant. We would not recommend it all for the price. The service was appalling and we think they obviously put the feed back on the website about how good the meals are. We have also been told this by friends. The food was just average. For the price we should have been treated so differently. Please do not listen to any other comments on their website. It is rubbish!
Truffles – ChorleyWe visited Pinocchio's last night for hubbies birthday and the 1st time for him - we live about 1 mile away. We were seated as we arrived and drinks brought to the table. I was amazed that the restaurant was so busy for a wintry Tuesday night! Our starters arrived within 15 mins of ordering - I had spicy chicken wings done with chilli, garlic and peppers off the main menu, OK but not fantastic and hubby had salmon fish cakes with chili dip off the specials menu, which again were OK nothing special........ For mains I had scallop and scampi tail thermidor off the specials menu served with boiled rice, boring but nice carrots and broccoli - again just nice but not WOW! Hubby had guinea fowl with mushroom ravioli off the specials - the pastry was a little too thick for his liking though and again no WOW factor. We were too full for sweets but they did sound good. With one bottle of peroni and a lime and soda, the bill came to £51.40. Nice restaurant but not our favourite.
Pinocchios – Prestonas a regular visitor to the restaurant,i honestly can say that I've never had a bad experience here. the food is always excellent, the staff are brilliant, with a good atmosphere. best italian for miles around.
Tinos – PrestonI love this place-I've been a few times in the evening with my fiance but also pop in during the day for amazing pastas and wine with my girly friends. It's inexpensive and feels fabulous-I'm planning to get married next October and am hoping I can have it for my reception.x
Seasons – ChorleyA truly wonderful local Chinese restaurant. The owners are a husband and wife from two regions of China. Spotlessly clean premises, nice surroundings and only 2 minutes from the A59 dual carriageway (exit at New Longton and follow Longton signs). The food is always well prepared, my children love the crispy chilli beef. A regular stop over when we've had a long hard day and want a tasty tea. Not expensive either. Additionally, the male owner loves eating out and will share his recommendations of other premises, particularly in Manchester,
Longton House – PrestonHave visited the Freemasons several times now & it never ever disappoints. The steaks - in my husbands opinion - are the best cooked steaks he has ever had anywhere. The Duck breast served with crispy wontons is amazing. The Menu changes slightly quite regularly which is also refreshing. Just make sure you leave room for the desserts too. The wine list is more than adequate & the front of house staff charming & efficient without being intrusive. One slick operation, & not sure why this restaurant doesn't have a Michelin star.
Freemasons At Wiswell – ClitheroeWe visit Chorley once a month from south Wales and always make time for a visit to P and P. We have been familiar with Pand P from the very beginning having originally lived in Chorley for some twenty seven years. Unbelievably both the quality of the food and the service continues to grow. The atmosphere is fantastic be it lunchtime or evening and is entirely due to the wonderful staff.Cant wait to visit again.
Parmesan And Pepper – ChorleyHave now dined on several occasions. The level of consistent excellence is outstanding, from entering, through choosing and then eating, in my opinion it's as good as it gets. The size of the bill is OK as well!! My favourite Bangladeshi restaurant of all time was Nawab in Broughty Ferry, Scotland, which is now closed because of redevelopment. Best recommendation i can give Sylhet, Hutton, is that it's well worth a considerable detour to enjoy the grub and the atmosphere!! GB!
Sylhet – BlackburnI have been to the italian orchard on several occasions and everytime the food has been excellent and therefore i would recommend its to anyone!
Italian Orchard – PrestonMy recommendation would be that you do not go to the Eagle until either the old head chef is re-instated or a new one takes over. My first visit in October 2009 the food was amazing the best food I have tasted in a restaurant without Michelin Stars. However, on my last visit at the end of January the food was awful, the Moules tasted of nothing more than flour, the Veal Canneloni was baked to the dish and the Prawn Cocktail was also bland. The mains, well they were worse. I'm not sure what has happened front of house either, upon telling the waitress that the steak was cold she just said "Oh' and walked away. The manager did not seem to be equipped to deal with complaints either. The atmosphere in the bar though was still great and it seems to be the hotspot for drinking in the area. I hope the problems are ironed out soon as only a few months ago I would say it was the best place by far in the area.
The Eagle at Barrow – ClitheroeI first visited this restaurant several years ago- my friends lived there-and took us there- the food was beyond belief!! even in India -its hard to find such good quality! mind-blowing. I am visiting Chorley again- and will definitely be visiting!
The Elephant – Chorleywent 12th Feb for my birthday ( 20 of us). we as a family go nearly every week, always a good night and would recommend to everyone.
Clog and Billycock – BlackburnBeautiful restaurant in lovely surroundings. We ate there sat 13 Feb. I had the chicken. It was lovely but not enough sauce for both my friend and i . We think chicken can be a bit dry without the appropriate sauce and there definitely wasn't enough on. Everything else was lovely. My hubby had cheese and biscuits but they came without butter. He asked for butter and the waitress just plonked 2 pats of butter down for him, now i think that should have come in a little ramekin dish as the hotel is so posh and eating out these days is expensive. One of the young girl waitresses was very serious and could have had a bit more of a smile on her face. The welcome bucks fizz was lovely a very nice touch. Would definitely come back again. We travelled about 30 minutes to get here so it was worth it.
Haighton Manor Country House Hotel – PrestonThe location was surprisingly rural and the design / layout of the building was beautiful. The food was very good with exceptional presentation. The only disappointment was that my wife and I were overcharged for an extra pint of beer which we hadn't ordered. We didn't notice until after leaving the restaurant. Upon speaking to my parents, it occurred that they too had experienced overcharging except with food....therefore be careful!
Italian Orchard – PrestonMy favourite restaurant for quality of food, service, friendliness and of course price. It's difficult to get them all right at the same time but, in my opinion, the 3 Millstones certainly does. The food is cooked and presented superbly, the service is very friendly and efficient but not in your face. The early bird menus are amazing value for money and absolutely delicious. Perfect!
