Great food and service and very reasonably priced. Would recommend and definitely go again.

Reserved a table for myself and a friend to dine a couple of days ago. On arrival we were shown to our reserved table by the fire and although he pub was very quiet when we arrived it was getting busier about half an hour later. The menu and specials board were slightly limited but I suspect this reflects the time of year (early January) but there were still numberous dishes that took our fancy. We both ordered steak and ale pie with fresh veg and chips. The portions were good and when it arrived it was nice and hot (not too hot!) and very tasty. Veg was cooked just right and the delicious chips were home made and not frozen. There is a good selection of draught beer. I ordered a pint of Landord and it was peerfect. The hosts were very polite and friendly. We will definately call again. The only downside is that the Maypole is 19 miles from where I live!

Stayed at the Maypole for a couple of days. Had a pleasant relaxing stay. Staff friendly and welcoming. Had Dinner on 2 nights and Breakfast on 2 mornings. The food was served hot as needed and well presented. Portion sizes especially the evening menu were very generous. The Steak & Ale and Steak &Kidney pies were clearly homemade and came with ample servings of fresh veg and a choice of potatoes. For Breakfast we were offered choice of Fruit Juices, several cereal options and a varied choice of cooked items. These were accompanied by tea/coffee and ample toast. Breakfast each day was sufficient to see us through until Dinner. Our first time in the area but we will definitely return and hopefully stay at the Maypole.

Highly recommend I absolutely love going here with anyone who will join me! The staff are absolute angels and super charismatic and kind.

Lunch meet up with friend. Lovely staff. Gave us plenty of chat time before taking our order. Food very good and reasonable priced. Will be back.

Another super evening for our wine club dinner. The choice of food was excellent and every dish was delicious, especially the scallops! The staff were extremely helpful and efficient, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you Fraser and team.

Booked table for 6pm on Tuesday evening - place was quiet but food and service were excellent. Enjoyed our meal for two and will be going back. Thanks for enjoyable evening!

We had a meal last night, I had tapas & my step dad had sea bass. The food was delicious, really tasty. Unfortunately we were the only people in there which was a shame. The service was obviously great

We went for dinner as a large group of 9 so pre-ordered our meals beforehand. When we arrived, our table was ready and we were shown straight to our table. The service was impeccable, despite the restaurant being full! The food was fantastic! Panuozzos is fast becoming our family favourite!

The food was beautiful, it was my sons first birthday gathering he had egg drop soup and shared our food too, that was really delicious no grease at all. All the food was really good fresh, service was very quick and attentive.

Food was amazing, some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! Servers were fast and attentive. Only gripe and it’s not the restaurants fault is how close you are to other tables, if you’re near to a loud group you’re going to know their full life stories, but the food far out ways that little issue. Will be back again.

Had a meal on Sunday, with family. Second to visiting and will be returning very soon. The staff are all lovely and welcoming. Food is excellent and good value for money. Despite not being able to order alcohol due to a changeover, it did not spoil our visit. If your like pate, you need to try it at Sambuca, itbiscthe best I have ever had.

Visit here regularly. Always a friendly welcome, great atmosphere indoors and outdoors in the better weather. Staff are always friendly and polite. You can just pop into the bar for drinks or try the restaurant. The menu has something for everyone. Good quality, good value, good tastes. John.
