As always, absolutely delicious food, venue, service. I can’t fault anything, it’s the most loveliest of experiences.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The staff are tremendous, and the food terrific. We loved the diverse menu and the atmosphere too. A great evening.

My wife and I booked on Saturday evening for our first visit to Brontae’s. What an experience! We were seated right in front of the kitchen (side by side) which gave us the opportunity to observe the chef at work. He was without his sous chef so had to do everything himself for a room full of diners. He was unflappable and never stopped smiling and chatting to the guests and his staff - no shouting or swearing in this kitchen!! The food was incredible. Pork cheek and tuna fish cakes were our starters followed by the duo of chicken and duck. Every dish was full of flavour and the portions were also very generous. The wine list was short and simple and our bottle of rose as good as any we have tasted. We had the best evening in a long time and without question, will be back again soon. We could not recommend this place more and so pleased it’s so close to home!!

Never fails to impress. Best food and service in the area also best value. MMMM fish pie - try it - its the tops!

A great place to go to after the cricket. Like it so much we went two evenings in a row. Lively and noisy environment with attentive staff. Food and drink reasonably priced and a wide variety of dishes. We would definitely go there again.

I've stayed here a couple of times and had their 8oz sirloin steak with trimmings most nights! it’s the best I’ve had, When staying in settle The Craven Arms has by far the nicest rooms and food compared to other places. Their breakfasts are also great.

We booked Oscar's for a table of 18 people- the hosting was brilliant, quick communication, lots of help in setting up the booking and accommodating last minute changes in plan. The evening was lovely- a good time was had by all. The venue was accessible to our group's wheelchair user, and not too noisy, so as to allow for great group conversation.

A traditional menu, with excellent chef cooked food. Beautifully presented and served. Kind attentive service.

As always the quality of the food service and location is exceptional. Staff discretely but swiftly on hand if required. Menu extensive, even the lunchtime weekday menu is impressive
