I visit the GLC several times a week and the service is always exceptional. The food is really high quality and there’s always a good atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

Great evening at Brooks. The menu provided a well balanced choice. Everything we had tasted delicious, really fresh with plenty of flavour. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient and a lovely cosy atmosphere. I will be back and thoroughly recommend a visit.

Been meaning to try The Aegean for a long time but never got round to it but as a treat to my wife before we move to Cornwall I decided to finally book it and oh how I wish I'd have booked sooner. It was amazing, from the minute you walk in its like you're transported to you own private Greek taverna. The atmosphere, the ambience, the decor, the service and the food were all amazing I can't recommend this place enough, don't be like me and let this place pass you by.

We have frequented Brooks and many occasions and I have to say we have never been disappointed. The food cooked by Sudu is excellent and the service is great. I would say it is currently our favourite restaurant in Ilkley. Well done...

I love it here. The food is amazing, staff are super friendly and a gorgeous pub.

The chicken katsu is totally dry from being fully pre cooked and then fried to order. Worse than dry, with fibrous parts. I carefully mention it by first pointing to the enjoyment of other dishes save though privately it makes me wonder if we should defer West for curry sauces. What followed was a textbook example of how not to deal with a complaint, I was rebuked that this is their way of making it (lazy if convenient and not consistent with producing a quality dish) and nobody else has complained, and sorry YOU don’t like it, she kept turning it back to it being something particular to my palate that somehow my experience didn’t matter as I now know not to have that dish if I didn’t like it - not a word of acceptance or preparedness to exchange this one item as part of a Bento Box (I admit I don’t see the potato salad connection) But it’s a simple fact that it was poorly prepared poor quality result of industrialising this ingredient to the point that frying with batter cannot salvage - super dry that would be unacceptable to most people. I was lectured that she wouldn’t, as the owner’s daughter accept my point.. I have been before since the very early days, If I seemed irritable as your waiting staff (except one busy) not actively scanning the restaurant, I was trying for several minutes to catch anyone's of two other servers eyes to ask for a tea top up and I cannot put that down to being . The bill would have seemed good value notwithstanding the chicken incident, but I encourage staff to have a customer is right attitude - honourable rules of engagement apply.

Very nice food, great atmosphere. The place it’s self is small. But personally I like the intimacy. Our waitress (can’t remember their name, but had a cat tattoo) was very cheerful, polite & didn’t laugh when I was butchering the dish names. My partner got the Katsu curry, she found it quite spicy, but that was personal preference. Would recommend & definitely go again:

Lovely food. Small restaurant with nice ambiance. Good service although it was very quiet. Great value.

We visited 8th October 2022 . To say we were the first ones in when they opened on a Saturday afternoon the music was way too loud . Quick to come to us for our order , luckily we sort of knew what we wanted before we got there. Quick to serve us our food. The only thing that annoyed us was about every 10 minutes someone came to see if we were okay and needed any more drinks. Value for money as usual .

Booked in advance and did preorders on arrival we had a table with the wrong number of seats, no one knew about our pre orders either, we had prawn cocktail to start and it had no sauce on and was covered In coriander. The mains were nice but it was just disappointing really as other times it’s been really nice.

Fabulous lunch at the Royal Oak. A cosy pub in a lovely location - the service was impeccable and the menu was extensive and delicious. Thank you - we will definitely be returning.
