I booked a table for my 30th birthday. On the booking I put that there was a person with a nut allergy (aka me). The server never bothered to confirm who had the nut allergy and no allergy menu was provided. One of my friends had a risotto and the rice was hard. My clazone fillings were wrong. I had to ask twice for glasses for water. The server went and took other tables orders that were setted after us which meant our table waited for food for a long period. Overall wouldn't recommend.

Great food, great atmosphere, quick service and very efficient staff.

I have been coming here for the last 20 years and the food has always been amazing. Everything is real home cooked food and the pub has a lot of history about it too which is a nice addition. A++

Friends meeting for lunch. Lovely food and a great atmosphere with groups, couples and families all enjoying the day.

Took my dad for his birthday. Food was great. The service was exceptional.

We were a large group, so pre order was required. All of our food came with no issues. The prawn started was absolutely delicious, as was the seafood Linguine. The food and tge service really was great. It was the first time for a few of the guest, the said they would definitely return. Lovely evening, thank you.

An absolutely fantastic evening with excellent food and service. Very professional, friendly and attentive staff and nothing was too much trouble. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we will be back. The food was superb with plenty of time in between to chat, laugh and enjoy the atmosphere. A massive thank you to you all the staff for making our celebration a wonderful evening to remember and going above and beyond. Well done for making our evening so amazing! Jackie x

We booked table for a meal on 26/3/26 , never been here before, but it looked lovely when I drove past several times. On arrival, the young staff were very friendly and polite, it is a lovely pub inside, we were allocated a table and then then ordered starters and mains. That's the end of the nice bit! I ordered Atlantic prawn cocktail, it was eatable that was it... The mains we ordered lasagne with side salad and my husband had steak &ale pie with seasonal veg . Well lasagne looked delicious and the side salad was a handful of just lettuce! Nothing else? I had to order a separate bowl of side salad.. the lasagne was like eating huge block of strong cheese! So overpowering you couldnt taste anything but cheese, it spoilt it ... the pie was nothing special very plain .. as for the veg? One stalk of cauliflower that was rock hard... a handful of wat looked like raw cabbage and a dollop of swede.. food was very disappointing.. we would not recommend or return to this pub again .. food definitely needs looking at.

This is our second visit to Sorrentos and there will be many more. Our first visit was for a party of 12, my granddaughters 21st birthday. We all enjoyed our afternoon there, staff even brought our surprise birthday cake out and sang along with us. They truly couldn’t do enough for all of us. Our second visit was just my husband and I, which was another enjoyable visit. My son has also been back with his wife and two children for the all you can eat Friday night. They had no complaints at all. Service including politeness from staff is 10/10 Food 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Value for money 10/10 A lovely relaxing evening. We highly recommend Nuovo Sorrentos Wigan Thank you

We booked a table for 7 of us on Sunday 22nd March with the family for my 60th birthday celebration and I’m so glad we did, the food and service was excellent we had never been here before but we will be going again, Our waitress was lovely and went over and above to make the experience wonderful

My husband and myself along with two friends came for lunch. We all had the offer of three courses for £17. Excellent service food delicious and plenty of it saying it was for smaller appetites. Will certainly come again when in the area. The only downside was that we had to wait awhile for our food.
