Had a lovely meal and normally I avoid set menus as they are limited but in this case the pre theatre set menu was amazing. Lovely food cooked with lots of taste. Agree with other reviews about drink prices being a little high but this would not stop me returning. Great restaurant! Thank you

Fat Loaf – SaleAs always, the food at the Fat Loaf, Ashton on Mersey was exceptional. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and tastefully decorated. The staff are helpful with menus, friendly and cheerful. My daughter, husband and I had the hake which is my favourite and was delicious, cooked perfectly and tasty. My son had the lamb which he said was amazing! The wine - we had Shiraz - was excellent. Altogether a really enjoyable meal and we will keep coming! Thank you.

I would go again and understand that under the current climate everything is suffering but like to feel full after a meal not hungry.

It has a lovely, friendly, neighbourhood vibe and a great selection of dishes. Staff are attentive without being overbearing and seem genuinely pleased to be serving you, which is not always the case in many places. Enjoyed our visit and hope to be back soon to try something different.
