My sister and fiance live in Switzerland and the three of us are vegan and last time they were home decided to celebrate with a meal at the laughing buddha with all the family. (A table for five). The service was slow and delivered one starter then a thirty five minute wait for the other starters. This was followed by a fourty five minute wait to our main course in which our bowls of rice were platted in originally warm bowls but ten minutes later half of us were still awaiting our main dishes. A ten percent service charge was applied to tables of five or more we did not pay this due to the bad service. However, we did leave a tip of £3:50 which on reflection was not deserved. The owner took this as a insult and followed us to the door shouting at us in front of all the other guests as we were leaving and insisted we took it back. We did try to explain our reasons but staff either unable to speak English or trying to look busy without actually accomplishing anything. Shame as a party of us from work were going to book in for the following week but have now suggested to everyone i know not to eat here. I wouldn't eat here again /. what a shame

It was my first visit to Bistro 156 on the 1st June with my two friends - what a fab time we had. Food was delicious -decent portions for us girlies who enjoy our food. Shaun our server was very attentive and made us feel extremely comfortable. We ordered all 3 desserts and shared them. It is my birthday on the 15th June and I will certainly be returning.

After the sad demise of Daniellis (previous name of restaurant - went downhill rather rapidly) Sugo is a refreshing change! Perfect for our girly nights out, or even as a midweek treat. Can't recommend it highly enough.

My sister and I ate at the Plaza in lat May 2011 and it was great. The atmosphere is lovely and since the cinema's restoration you feel like you are back in the 1930's. The meal was really good - lasagna and salad, water, scone and coffee. The price £11.00 each. The chef there is recommended and the waitresses (all kitted out in old fashioned "nippy" uniforms) are ultra friendly. Can't wait to go again.

I'd been meaning to go ever since I moved to Urmston nearly 3 years ago. Having eaten all over Manchester (and the country) I was extremely impressed with both the service and the food from Isinglass. 2 main courses at 2 drinks came to only £33!!! The portion sizes were enormous and the quality of the organic, locally sourced food was outstanding. The brother and sister run restaurant is simply outstanding! (BTW guys, if you're reading this, it was a pleasure to meet you)

Had a meal at Bistro 156 last night and it was delicious. Portions were normal sized for us girlies not afraid to eat and enjoy food! The desserts were so tempting we shared 3! And Shaun, you really looked after us - cheers! On a Wednesday it was fully booked - enough said!

Recently attended restaurant because of a deal on frugaloo. Wasn't expecting much for the price we paid but I have to say it was a great meal. Service was great and the food was excellent, fresh ingredients that worked well and a menu with an extensive offering of dishes from the usual curries to the very traditional gurkha dishes. All in all a great experience and I will certainly be going again.

An excellent menu with exceptional cooking. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Prices most reasonable. Wish this our local venue but we are from Canada

hi i tried raj takeaway the food is really GOOD i will be going there again next week i didn't think it would be so nice but i was wrong i have tried others but this beats them all one of the best in town try for your self.

had a lovely meze @ tapios tonight with some friends, wow!! what can i say, food was delicious, well prepared and appetising, the decore is right up my street, lots of fairy lights, candles............a real mood lifter, i thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience as did my friends, thank you xx

Ate in the bar at the GRILL on the ALLEY on Saturday night. We didn't book and couldn't fit in the restaurant, so we opted for the bar which I wasn't best pleased about to be fair. But I had a lovely meal and the service was just as good as in Restaurant. I had changed my mind at the end as it was great to see the pianist downstairs playing. I chose the Seabass and my partner the prawns; lovely and fresh. Had the cheesecake for afters which was divine. Would dine in the bar again!

very clean, very friendly and warm surroundings. The night we we went , there was live close up magician entertainment which was an added treat.. The food was exceptionally very nice, The XO sauce is must try, IVE not had anything like it, very exotic flavour. We also collected a voucher which after going on the 3rd time get you a free bottle of wine. There is also a Sunday lunch buffet, which we also went to, it was fab, but don't go expecting 50 plus dishes because this isn't a buffet restaurant. Overall I give it 5 out of 5.. alex/emmy - Wigan

we have dined at the stockport for many years and found both the staff and the food brilliant as we were in Manchester last Monday(23rdmay)we called in and had yet another very good meal and reasonably priced too

We go to La Roma fairly often because we're fortunate enough to live within walking distance. I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are always friendly, the atmospheres great and above all the food is fantastic. P.S If you like fish, try the whitebait starter when its on the specials board...

I came down to your restaurant in Delph with my girlfriend on Monday. I just wanted to say thank you again for a great evening. The food was amazing, the restaurant is very nice to sit in, and our waitress was first class! - even the toilets are great! (love the auto taps) We will definitely be back soon to sample more of your menu.

I took my wife for a meal to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.I had been once before when i used to work in Manchester,some 16 years ago.We really enjoyed the food.The vegetarian range is good,the owner was knowledgeable about the food,very helpful as were the other staff. The portions are quite filling.At the moment we are enjoying trying different Thai restaurants & would certainly re-visit this one if we were in the vicinity
