Fus Chinese Restaurant Cafe – Manchester City CentreThe staff are all excellent and it's a real shame that the food doesn't come up to scratch. Mid week the food seems to be more palatable than at the weekends. More time was spent on the presentation than ensuring that the food was hot. They need to take a leaf from Nectar's in Hale - locally sourced produce (where possible). Gordon Ramsay would whip the kitchen and menu into shape. I sincerely hope that things improve so that I can enjoy a local venue and feel rest assured that the quality of food will be consistent.
Belmore Hotel – SaleThe food was great and the service was excellent
Forts Of Bengal – SaleWhat can I say about this place? I live round the corner and for 8 months I didn't go in, preferring to try other places that looked more appealing on the outside. Just goes to show you should never judge a book by it's cover because when you go in here and try the food it's amazing, by far the best curry house round here, better than Rusholme
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyAbsolutely outstanding place. Atmosphere in the bar is great, food was amazing and staff so genuinely friendly. Am hungry even thinking about the menu!! Will definitely be returning.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreWent last weekend again to here. As usual, great food and service. We had booked and thank goodness we had as the place was full by 1900hrs and as far as I could see was goin to be all night! My female friend , who is a big fan of this establishment was also impresses as usual.
Laughing Buddha – DidsburyLovely place with very attentive staff. Food very well presented and very fast service. Highly recommended
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreThis place is a real find. The kitchen team obviously take great care in preparing the dishes as they arrive at the table looking too good to eat. I really can't praise this place enough, the food is fantastic, different and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is well designed and free of kids and has some of the best staff in Manchester. I will definitely be a regular visitor and will be holding my birthday party in the private dining room.
Fahrenheit Bar & Grill – Manchester City CentreFantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Sometimes a little "too" keen on filling your glass and taking your plates away. Would recommend a visit
Puccini Pizzeria – Swintonjust one word F A B U L O U S
Spicy Hut – RusholmeWe ate the lunch offer of 2 courses for £5.50p what great value for money. There is also an early evening offer 5.0pm till 7.0pm 3 courses for £10.50p. A very nicely laid out restaurant serving Greek food which was very fresh. Outstanding value.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportOn a good night, this is the best Asian food I've eaten anywhere. On a bad night it's still excellent. Really fresh tasting and carefully made. The service is friendly, the decor attractive--I love the paintings-- and it's not too expensive. Try the Bindi, it revolutionised my opinion of okra!
Cafe Lahore – OldhamMyself and family enjoyed a lovely meal last Friday. I was originally going to eat at a well know chain that rhymes with hanky and jennys, however I remembered House after trying at short notice to eat there once before only failing because they were booked up. This time again was very short notice (only 30mins) The host was not sure about fitting us in but agreed as long as his table was clear for 8pm, which was not a problem as we were going to the cinema afterwards. We had a really nice meal, nothing too pretentious but good quality simple food and great value. The atmosphere is very nice and I will be going again. Only problem is it too handy to where we live!!
The House Restaurant and Wine Bar – AltrinchamAte there Sunday 6pm after several recommendations. Thought it was brilliant! Great service, atmosphere, had roast beef yorkshire pud etc, lovely fresh veg - very reasonably priced. So impressed I went with a friend for lunch a few days later - again the same friendly welcome - lovely food and very reasonable prices. So much to choose from on the menu, really helpful staff. Great place to eat in town!
English Lounge – Northern QuarterWe love this place! The food is consistently excellent even though we have been dozens of times. The food was always good but since its relocation to the Old Chapel it really feels like you are somewhere very special. The staff are very helpful and friendly and we are always amazed by how such a lovely evening can cost so little. The best curry I have ever eaten.
Mahabharat Restaurant – WiganI love this place, having eaten here on a few occasions since first being taken to it about 10 years ago. The vegetarian range is very big and the food is astonishing, perhaps even the best Indian food I've had outside India! The staff are very knowledgeable (advising what compliments what) and take an interest in their customers. I only went last night and I'm looking forward to going again!
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeThis is one of my favourite places to eat. The choice of starters is brilliant, and meat eaters will be in heaven! The chargrilled fish is fabulous , and the veggie moussaka is an old favourite (a couple more veggie items wouldn't come amiss!). For those who aren't sure - try the pre-theatre menu for £10.50 - brilliant value for money. Nice wine selection too.
Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City CentreA very welcoming establishment. excellent thought from the owner in regards the requirements of people with special needs. very impressed to see a restaurant with the courage to be the first in Wigan to become the first non-smoking restaurant. Will definitely visit again. Well done.
