Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe are so lucky to have The Carriage so close to home. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and the food is amazing!
The Carriage – CrawleyWe visited Into the blue on Wednesday night and the food was fantastic. We both had the Sea bass from the specials menu and it was cooked to perfection. The whole meal was delicious, staff were friendly and attentive and atmosphere was very relaxed, we have already recommended to family who stay close by and hope to be back next time we are staying locally.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaGreat food and nice atmosphere. Food took a long while to arrive but they were honest about it and made up for it by offering us a free round of drinks…great service with down to earth, chatty staff. Nice cocktails, recommend the Long Island Iced Tea! Great to have somewhere like this in the village. Well worth stopping by for lunch or dinner.
The Carriage – CrawleyExcellent. The service is very good. The food is delicious, fresh, well presented and cooked with a lot of care and thought. The specials menu always changes, with so many tempting choices.

The Carriage – CrawleyOut first evening visit and what a visit it was! Both our friends and my husband and myself were impressed with the quality of the food. The atmosphere and service was also great. So lovely to receive complimentary bread and pre-starters that were just delicious!
The Roastery – EastbourneAmazing Food!
The Roastery – EastbourneFirst time group dinner night out since Covid hit. Great food, cocktails and atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed and service was responsive and welcoming.
The Roastery – EastbourneDiscovered this place by accident and managed to get a booking on the last day of our holidays after a great lunch at their sister location, Nelson Coffee. Could not find a thing to complain about - their drink selection is varied and interesting, their cocktails perfectly prepared; service was attentive without being overbearing and the menu full of dishes I wanted to try; my vegetarian partner had a great selection as well, definitely a cut above the usual lackluster vegetarian dishes some places offer. What they produce is a testament to how a small team of hard working front of house and kitchen staff (I counted 5 people total for the full evening service) can produce something to rival the best restaurants in the country. My only complaints were that they were not here in Sheffield so I could go back again and again, and that they don't have a twitter presence so I can rave about them on there as well. If you are in Eastbourne and looking for good food, this is the best meal I ate all week in a week which included visits to the Mirabelle at the Grand, and the Rathfinny Wine Estate Kitchen.
The Roastery – EastbourneExcellent!!
The Roastery – EastbourneService was slow and so was the food however, the staff where really pleasant and did care about the customers that’s for sure. Didn’t appreciate the chef shouting across to some random girls who where shouting and blocking the toilets, just because he knew them. The bar staff really tried which was appreciated but the kitchen was the problem. Constantly shouting at the young staff and talking to locals from the other side of the room. Over done steak. But lovely cocktails and a really nice inside. Glad they are there it’s nice to have something in Crawley down. Does need someone with experience to run. But overall the owner and bar staff where the only reason customers enjoyed it.
