Excellent value for money. Dinner was excellent with great flavour. The food was well presented in a clean modern style. Everything on the dish served a purpose to improve the experience

The George – HailshamGreat place with lots of charm. The food was delicious down to the very last mouthful. Obviously a place which makes all it's own food. Highly recommended, we will be back.
Tudor House Restaurant – PolegateGreat welcome, even though we only have a take-away.always beautifully cooked, great taste and colour .Always a real family treat.
Little India – HenfieldWent there when it first opened and it was good, now it's even better. Had a great night of endulgence last Friday. The food was wonderful and the place was lively without being to loud. If you havn't tried it yet then you have been missing out on the best night in town. We need more new venues like the Blackmarket. Don't get it confused with the black pearl the food there is really bad and over priced!!
The Black Market – HastingsThe service was the only good thing. My dog gets fed better. Really BAD FOOD!!!!!!
Black Pearl – HastingsAlways go to the boys here.. Foods ok, but always lacking something.
Khans Brasserie – MidhurstI love this place it is friendly and very nice food specially the greek meze. I am disappointed that they don't have a website to check Christmas menu and availability.
Sunny – WorthingGreat food, but incredibly slow service. General lack of organisation in the restaurant - bar area extremely untidy with junk lying everywhere. Took them over 30 minutes to take our order and first food nearly 1 hour after sitting down.
Terre à Terre – Brighton and HoveThe bar menu offers just wonderful lamb koftas. The main menu includes a steak which was cooked perfectly but for me it is the Sunday lunches where the New Inn excels, they are just the best.
The New Inn – HassocksGreat currys here but you do pay the price. Some might consider the portions a little on the small side compared to other restaurants.
Nupur Tandoori – HassocksAll i can say is AWFULL!!!! I had the worst night, my 40th birthday. Food not cooked, waited for hours to be served baring in mind that they had our orders 4 days in advance. My friends booked this as a surprise and were mortified by the appalling service we received.
Lathams Brasserie – HastingsHave enjoyed fabulous food on each occasion that I have eaten there. The prices are that of an average curry house but the quality is up there with the best.
Royal Spice Indian Restaurant – Burgess HillI've eaten here in the evening twice. The first time it was not very full, the food was excellent and so was the service. The second time the restaurant was fully booked. Although the food and service were still excellent, we felt a little rushed, and also there was so much background noise (music playing too loud and people shouting over the top of it - all echoing off the walls and wooden floor) that it was less enjoyable. My recommendation is to go on a weeknight. I'd recommend the fish dishes.
Sevendials Restaurant – Brighton and HoveWell worth finding another There are plenty in Lewes
Shanaz – LewesWhen I wasn't laughing at the bunch of inbreds all around the pub, I was trying to cut through the "Yorkshire puddings" with an industrial strength chainsaw. No luck. The meat was like leather. The roast potatoes were still frozen on the inside and tasteless. I am still convinced that the gravy was dish water from the bar and we were served by someone who was blessed with an extra large portion of gums at birth!!
Royal Sovereign – EastbourneA fine homely Sunday roast at a very reasonable cost
Robin Hood Inn – HastingsMaster Chef Tim Neal at The Chequers Inn, Rowhook, West Sussex. Great food yet afford ably priced. Enjoy! The pub features in Diana Henry's 'Gastropub Cookbook' (2004) and in 2006 they won Punch Taverns prestigious 'shine award' for the South East region. This award is for food experience. In 2007 Tim and Katy Neal purchased the freehold of The Chequers to ensure that the high standards they have set will continue at this truly excellent pub / restaurant.
Neals Restaurant at The Chequers Inn – HorshamEach time we fly into the UK from our home in Canada, we so look forward to our fish dinner at the Melrose in Brighton...the food is always superb - especially my favourite, their Dover Sole, and the service and family atmosphere extremely pleasant and very friendly. We recommend this restaurant to all our friends when visiting Brighton.
