On one of those rare, golden days, as we cruised through the sunlit countryside with thirst and hunger growing, a stylish bistro/pub caught our eye beside a picturesque bridge. We quickly pulled into the riverside car park, expecting nothing more than ordinary pub grub. Instead, we were greeted by Talented Tom, the owner and BBQ maestro, who promised the finest meat feast in town. The riverside garden offered a peaceful retreat, where the mouthwatering aroma from the BBQ pit teased our senses and set our appetites alight. What looks like a humble menu on the wall is actually a gateway to a sensory adventure that will surprise you at every turn. Tom's BBQ platter tempted diners to indulge far beyond their limits, with generous portions perfect for taking home. We ordered a burger and a hot dog, expecting a quick bite, but the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, bursting with seasoning and cooked to perfection by Tom's expert hand. Every bite was irresistible. Staff were smiling and friendly towards new faces, and Tom showed us great hospitality, making us feel welcome straight away. The kayaks available for hire tempted us to return for another round of riverside adventure. The bathroom was very clean, and the bar area was perfect for any mixologist. This place is a hidden countryside gem, and I cannot wait to return with friends and family to share the unforgettable wild boar hot dog and beef burger I discovered here.

We had a lovely evening meal with the family. Great service, good food, and a nice ambiance. The place feels very comfortable and cosy. The menu offers something for everyone. Highly recommended!

Been eating at the Globe for years and had always loved it. However on our last trip we found the menu not to our liking and expensive. Unfortunately we left.

Wanted a chilled, quite lunch, and got exactly that. The waitress was polite and well presented. The food was hot and delicous. Will definately be coming here again for lunch

A group of six of us enjoyed a fabulous lunch, celebrating the wedding anniversary of two friends. Four of the party had the sharing meal, which was beautifully balanced and tasty, with the scallops being the star of the show! The happy couple had the mussels and fish stew ( I forget the technical name ) which were also well cooked. The young staff were friendly and obliging, all in all a lovely experience! Thanks.

We visited for an afternoon on Sunday afternoon. Service was great, we’ve not been for a few years but The Globe never disappoints. We had the shared chicken tosst and the beef roast with an added cauliflower cheese!!!! It all tasted delicious! Next time we visit Rye we will be back.

We travelled 3 hours as a treat for our mums 70th Birthday treat. Booked a table for 10 of us. The staff were lovely, prepared the birthday cake for us and played Stevie Wonders Happy Birthday. The lady couldn’t have been nicer. The food was delicious and service on point. Thank you.

The Seadog is one of my favourite pubs in Hastings, and I was excited to try the new kitchen, so it's unfortunate that my recent visit wasn't great. Although, the food was nice, I think it was quite overpriced. The portions were small and you have to pay to add rice or flatbread which was an additional £3.95 and the flatbread was dry and tasteless. So a small bowl of chicken and some sauce with a flat bread was nearly £18. Although not the pubs fault, some customers in there hang were hanging around our booked table, hoping we'll leave earlier or not show up, which is annoying and doesn't provide for a comfortable dining experience. It doesn't put me off returning, but I would think twice about ordering food there now, as I think the prices are too high and portions too small.

Such a lovely little restaurant in Shoreham, which beats any of the larger fish restaurants in Brighton. So lucky to have this on our doorstep. Fabulous food , service and atmosphere.

Visited on Saturday night. We enjoyed it on the whole. One of our party had the lamb. When it came there were no potatoes, only a couple of slices of courgettes, which were cold; as was the sauce. For £26 this seemed excessive. When this was mentioned the server was quite dismissive about it. The second time of asking we were offered a glass of wine. The rest of the food was nice.

Absolutely love this place ! The lunch menu is amazing value £10 with a free drink ! The food is well presented reasonable choice vegan friendly. The brownie sundae to finish was honestly divine will definitely go back highly recommend.

This was our first BBQ platter at The Riverside and it won’t be our last. All the meat was cooked to perfection, succulent and juicy and the sides complemented the array of meat to perfection, The selection of rubs and marinades used were full of flavour and I would highly recommend.
