We have been visiting the Globe since it re-invented itself 14/15 years ago. We are never disappointed. The menu changes seasonally plus they are always fabulous staples on the menu. The staff are always attentive and hard working. We went for our first breakfast there this morning. What a wonderful twist on a traditional favourite. Highly recommended. It it without doubt the best place to eat in Rye.

Staff are attentive and helpful and restaurant and facilities are clean and welcoming. My favourite restaurant, just wish it was nearer to where I live. !

The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWent for brunch at the weekend. Appreciate it was busy, but Was waiting over 10 mins for drinks. Was also waiting for 45 mins for food, when one of the party questioned this, he was greeted by a rather unpleasant waitress, who did nothing to apologise, was dismissive and blunt and when walking away from the table said rude under her breath. There’s a way to speak to customers, and that certainly isn’t it. When the food came, it was mediocre. Toast was burnt and hard to cut into, small portions. Expensive for what it is. No apology made for delay in food and drinks. Won’t be coming back.
Hartfields – UckfieldWe booked for Friday night at eight. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with happy customers and staff. Had mussels for main with breads and fries, super bottle of wine and beer and delicious cheeseboard. Just perfect all round. We will be back it was a lovely evening. Would recommend thoroughly to both fish and meat eaters. Give it a try soon!

Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaExceptionally good food, a must visit for any seafood lover. This time we had the sharing menu and everything was so tasty. Hard to pick out a favourite but the scallops were stunning and the Indian kissed potatoes are way beyond just a side dish. Fabulous.

The Denbigh – BexhillI have eaten there several times with my Son who lives quite close by. This time I came with a friend . I was very disappointed in my meal, as I had the whole Crispy Sea Bass. It had some sort of batter all over it, which made it extremely hard to eat as it was stuck to the whole rib cage along with lots of bones and also the skin. I wasn't very impressed with the chips either, which were extra as it didn't come with any veg. I love Sea Bass as I don't usually have it at home, but I didn't enjoy picking and examining every mouthful for bones. The dessert was delicious.

Food was really good , watermelon topped with crab was really tasty. Main of lobster Thermidor was delicious. My husband had the sea bream equally very tasty. It was a delight to return.
