Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaExcellent Sunday dinner at GOTM yesterday. Food, service and atmosphere all top marks. Thank you
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWhat a treat to have this place virtually on my doorstep, with its wonderful seafood, great service, super selection of reasonably priced wines, and only a minute from the beautiful beach for a pre- or post-meal stroll. Order the seasonally-changing sharing menu and give the chef a chance to show off; crispy, squid, scallops in champagne sauce and Indian-spiced potatoes were three stand-outs recently. Whether you just want a couple of small plates and a drink or a grand blow-out, you'll be made equally welcome – and that courtesy also extends to diners with dietary requirements, especially coeliacs.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaI really really like Sunday lunch, I try it at every local pub and restaurant to see how good it is compared with other places. Roast potatoes that are not crispy is a massive mistake, that coupled with pretty insipid gravy that was too pale and tasted unseasoned put me off eating anything again at this pub. Whoever cooked the roast potatoes on Sunday 18th May 2026 really needs to go back to roast potato school, because it isn't actually all that difficult. Further, the price per meal was more than every other local establishment I have eaten at in the last year. Totally unimpressed with what can only be described as lazy cooking. It's a real shame because the staff are very nice and the atmosphere is great, but expensive food that is badly cooked isn't for me...ever.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeAbsolutely lovely local neighbourhood restaurant. Slightly unprepossessing kerb appeal but once inside it's a lovely place, lovely ambience, fantastic service and amazing food. I had lobster, my husband Dover sole. Definitely will be back.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaIt’s the best fish restaurant by a long mile, food delicious and even something in the menu for vegetarian. Well worth a visit.
