The best restaurant in Meads. One of the top three in Eastbourne! Service was spot-on, nice and knowledgeable, and very friendly, which made a big difference to the whole experience. Definitely going back again soon!

Great food and service. Music after was great to o. It was a pity about the weather which obviously put off of a lot of people from venturing out.

Food and service were excellent, the staff are very friendly. No complaint about the food except that the portion was quite small, I had the Monk fish, but otherwise everything was great.

Been regular customers over many years and the quality and personal service are constants which keeps us returning. Difficult to image a better local fish and seafood restaurant. Maybe getting just a little expensive in recent times but for such quality acceptable. Thoroughly recommended.

Had a wonderful visit last Saturday (7/6). Great atmosphere complimented by a fun & quirky interior. . The service was superb and all done with smiling faces. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back when we return to Rye.

Fish very good Could be better for squid starters

We loved Ancient Grains. Space to breathe (and hear each other), a well curated menu, delicious dishes, and friendly, attentive staff. This is what a family run restaurant should be. A rare find.

Have enjoyed the food in the past but was a bit disappointed with the Lebanese Night. Service was good and there is always a friendly atmosphere. On this occasion I do not feel it was good value for money.

Made a welcome return to The Globe on Friday, 6th June, after a few years of not going. We certainly won't be waiting that long before we go again. Everything about the place was wonderful: the atmosphere, the lovely staff, and, of course, the superb food. Excellent place, very original decor, easy to park - just perfect.
