We visited into the blue on Sunday for their new Sunday roast menu. We had a surf and turf sharing platter (seabass and pork). It was delicious and will definitely be returning. Excellent value. Well done Jaqui, Dave and the rest of the staff. Continues to be my favourite restaurant.

Another lovely visit to Hartfields! In Uckfield whilst waiting for my car to be serviced so I paid a visit to Hartfields for my breakfast. Lovely Oak milk cappuccino and a Cheese & Tomato omelette. Excellent service, friendly staff and cosy establishment!

Great venue, lovely staff.. had Sunday roast here and the beef was amazing. However the roast potatoes were awful and this really needs to be addressed. The crumble for dessert was lovely 10/10

We ate at the pub on Sunday! So good we visited again on Monday 13/10/25! The food and service just perfect!

This was our first visit and we loved it! The pub/restaurant is really quirky and has a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive and really engaged with customers. The roast dinner and pudding was the best we’ve had so far eating out. We will be back for sure.

We visited Hartfields for brunch on Sunday as a table of 5 and it was my dads 80th birthday. My dad ordered pancakes and as the staff had seen my dad opening his birthday cards, his pancake came out with a little candle, it was so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious with fresh, good quality ingredients. The staff are SO friendly and very attentive. Will be sure to go back, lovely atmosphere too. A great little place in the heart of Uckfield.

For some years, we have been regular, though perhaps not as frequent, visitors as Jaqui might wish. One might think that having a restaurant of this quality within walking distance would find it overrun, though at present the economic situation prevents any such possibility. Our most recent visit exploited the small dishes on the menu. We always start with Scallops because Dave prepares and presents them so well. Fish cake was most flavoursome and the squid beautifully light and tasty. An excellent wine list offered us a lovely chilled Vinho Verde. Perhaps we might increase our frequency of visits !

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Denbigh. The food was excellent -well presented very fresh, delicious and hot Good variety. The server was friendly and attentive. She was the only one serving and was doing a great job

Lovely pub, full of character. We were greeted by Millie as soon as we walked through the door and from then on her and her colleague couldn't do enough for us. The food was very tasty with extremely generous portions.

This is our favourite restaurant. A warm & attentive welcome by Marriane & outstanding food from the kitchen. Head chef, David, really understands fish and seafood and has created his own style of sauces, accompaniments and presentation. We had a memorable lunch of monkfish and bouillabaise.

Excellent meal and service. The bouillabaisse was amazing and I chose to have the Indian summer potatoes as a side whilst my partner had the Malaysian vegetable curry. It's great that they now do a vegetarian option.

Excellent food and service and a lovely atmosphere. A very well run restaurant which deserves all the credit. Every time we’ve been it’s busy which is no surprise. We had the lobster and it was amazing.

Excellent meal and great value . Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and Dave who brought out our meals was lovely ! Will definitely be returning !
