We were a party of 4 visiting at 7pm on a Saturday night. Our two relatives, visiting front Lancashire, had requested that we revisit The Plough as they had enjoyed their previous visit earlier this year. They were not disappointed. The food was great, the staff were friendly and attentive and a good time was had by all. The only disappointing aspect of the visit was that, although they were quite busy when we arrived, during the course of our meal the place gradually emptied. Our visitors couldn't believe it. Where they live a place like The Plough would be heaving from 6.30 on a Saturday night and they would be beating people off with sticks at the door. Give this place a try. I doubt you will be disappointed

I took my dad to the egerton arms for lunch yesterday and not only was the food great but the service was amazing. My dad has some mobility issues and it’s really important when we go out that he is made to feel respected and included . The staff did just that, they were brilliant with everyone in there and really created a good atmosphere! Would definitely go again

Great food and attentive and friendly staff, we are moving to the area in 2025 so to find a 'local' as nice as this on our doorstep is a big positive, looked to be lost planned for 2025 with tribute nights etc!

We visit Bacchus quite often and have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly yet professional, the food is wonderful and there is an excellent selection to suit all tastes. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were a table of four and had a lovely meal in a nice pub atmosphere. Very friendly and service-minded staff. Puddings seemed a bit expensive, but they were very tasty.

Food was great , but felt rushed as kitchen shut at 8 , we arrived at 7 but rushing us all the time why did they not tell us when we booked ??

We had lunch here with 2 friends recently. The food was really good and the portions very generous. The buttermilk and smokey bacon light bite with fries was really tasty and freshly cooked. Our friends were really impressed with their meals and drinks too. The service and value and friendliness of the staff was first class. We'll definitely be going back.

Well, booked for 5 adults on a round table for 2-00. The food was lovely. We all had a different dish, they arrived together. They were all hot ( hate cold chips) and the service was excellent. In fact the staff were a credit, warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. We will definitely go again.

First time I have been and was very impressed with the quality of the food Atmosphere was very pleasant not sat on top of each other. Staff pleasant. Enjoyed the evening will definately go again.

It is always delightful to visit this hidden gem. All the years we have been coming here, we have never been disappointed. Great food with an authentic Italian taste and plenty of choice. All priced very fairly. All served by helpful attentive staff.

A fantastic dining experience. The food and service is always 5*. The great team at Bacchus always make it very special. It's great value for money and there is a great choice on the wine list at reasonable prices. Never had a bad experience ever! Thank you Mike and team!

We met some friends and my goddaughter for lunch on BH Monday. Good choice on menu and great food, lovely setting with decking by the lake, although we chose to sit inside. Exceptional staff - who really looked after us and joined in the banter. Thanks

Back again for a excellent Sunday roast food was very good as always plenty on the plate staff very friendly and service very good. WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN.

Great food, but the whole place feels tired, unloved and is a bit grubby. For example, the stair carpet on the way up to the restaurant was really dirty when I visited. Also, I'd expect a cocktail bar to be well stocked, but they only had 3 gins, and o coconut milk so they couldn't make a pina colada! The staff are really young and cheerful, but I feel like the whole place needs someone more experienced to review the surroundings, and what they offer and bring it up to a a better standard to attract more customers. It was almost empty when I visited - Saturday night.
