Four of us enjoyed a truly excellent lunch at Mere Court recently! It was our first time there and we were extremely pleased with the whole experience. Two of our party had diet issues (Gluten Free) and these were addressed with no problems at all. The service from the staff was tip top, the food was of the very best quality and beautifully presented. I cannot fault them in any way - hence the full marks given below. We are planning to return soon and are looking forward to being there once again.

We came on 30 th June 2023 to celebrate my husbands 50 th birthday there was a group of 14 of us all served really quickly & everyone’s food was amazing we had desserts to which was lovely thanks again for the great service atmosphere and food well be back !

Love this country pub, booked in advance for girly lunch. Good food pleasant and helpful staff reasonable prices. Will definitely return.

My wife and I had a delightful lunch to celebrate our 59th Wedding Anniversary. Our waitress was very attentive and made us feel at home and relaxed and we thank her for making our visit very enjoyable. We were very pleased when the management presented us with a bottle of red wine in recognition of our special anniversary. We will visit again and will recommend your establishment to our friends. Lovely evening - very good food, super menu, well served from friendly staff

This is our fourth visit to this lovely place and it didn't disappoint. As expected the food was delicious and the service was second to none. We'll be back! :)

We had an early evening meal from the fixed menu which was reasonably priced. The service was very attentive and friendly, making you feel extremely welcome. Bacchus was one of our regular venues, but following the lockdown we had not been for quite a while. We instantly felt right at home again however and made the conscious decision to put Bacchus high on our list of favourite restaurants again.

Faultless, the best meal out I’ve had in along time. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

So very happy to return here again to this exquisite Cheshire inn, ()not Staffordshire as quoted !) We were served by the effervescent and charming James who really was the most brilliant waiter. The food was, as always is, sheer brilliance and all washed down with a Wincle Brewery beer. Sublime and bucolic sum up this enchanting venue and we continue to wish Jim and Christione well in promoting their pub. Loved the fact we can now book on line. The services offered just get better and better. Thank you!

Sunday lunch, expensive for two coursers, but very good, staff attentive, drinks can be expensive. Poor choice of back ground music and quite loud. Overall, a good experience.

Amazing, authentic food in beautiful surroundings, this building doesn’t need embellishment and the simplicity is soothingly calm. Fantastic service from charming and attentive staff, the owner is engaging and a real people person. It was incredibly warm and he moved our table outside for us to cool off! Our wine was wonderful and not overpriced. Marvellous.

Usual high quality offering. I had beef tartare and selection of shellfish. I have had moules mariniere in many restaurants around the world but I have to say the ones at Bacchus were the best! Excellent silver service but with a friendly twist always happy to share a laugh. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always flexible to accommodate any request. Not too noisy or crammed together so it was easy to have table conversation. We finished the meal with a generous cheese board and a port. A meal to remember!!

It was lovely to be back at Mere Court where we had our Wedding Breakfast 10 years ago. This time, we celebrated the Birthday of our Gran from Austria and enjoyed a delicious Afternoon Tea: The table was beautifully set, the staff was very friendly and helpful as always, the food was outstanding. Best fresh scones ever!! Our "Birthday Girl" got a specially prepared plate for the occasion as we mentioned it when booking the table. After tea we went for a walk on the grounds - such beautiful gardens, lovely for all generations! Highly recommended - we will be back sooner than later!

1st time at elmas, loved it. Food was extremely tasty and glad we booked and got in early as it was very busy by 7.30. It was lovely having the doors open on a summer evening but could see the smokers outside being an issue if we were sat closer, atmosphere was lovely and the waiter was great too.
