Food was lovely. The staff were great. The owner was very passionate about what he did, he was very knowledgeable about the food and wine they sold.
Sabrosa – OxtonThe best food, staff and atmosphere!
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldWe visited Elmas last night as we’re on holiday in Lymm. We were greeted with quite loud music but a very lively happy atmosphere. We both enjoyed our meals, I had pasta and my husband had fish. The waiting staff were extremely friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening
Elmas Restaurant – LymmGreat service and atmosphere food was brilliant service was impeccable so attentive borark and his son checking all the time to make sure everything was okay it was a birthday party o a few friends they brought a nice cake for her birthday which I thought was a nice thing to do I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a food experience 10 out off 10.
Elmas Restaurant – LymmWe went to the Royal Oak on Sunday 18th September for an anniversary meal. The food was absolutely beautiful! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was just lovely. The cheesecake is the best cheesecake I’ve ever tasted and cheesecake is my favourite food ever!
The Royal Oak – NantwichA lovely evening, a good value meal, to enjoy in a fabulous setting.
The Royal Oak – NantwichAfter visiting Lilac Cottage on several occasions over the years and loving the food and everything about the place, we were extremely disappointed with the food and drink last night.... after waiting to be seated it took nearly 50 minutes and 5 reminders from the point of ordering our drinks to receiving them. After also being told that nearly every soft drink on the menu was unavailable along with elements needed for cocktails as well. Working in the hospitality trade myself I can only imagine the supplies order had been omissed this week. May I also point out that although the front of house staff were extremely apologetic and helpful, they explained profusely that they were overwhelmed with the amount of diners and lack of management available on what is normally one of the busiest nights in the hospitality trade. Which then caused issues in their delivery of food items resulting in our chicken a la crema tasting more like fish than chicken (a massive no no in relation to seafood allergies and how dangerous they can be) our creamy mussels and ribs being sent to the wrong table who then sent them back to the kitchen, when it was discovered that was our food it was then duly delivered to our table but the ribs were cold in the middle and the mussels quite obviously had been reheated. We were quite rightly not charged for the initial round of drinks or the cold ribs which we appreciated, and the offer of a free bottle of prosecco was also appreciated greatly. We also would like to commend the young members of staff having to deal with so many problems from all aspects last night, the lack of drinks stock, the kitchen mix ups and the absolutely overwhelming number of clientèle that no young members of staff should be left to deal with without any management seeming to be present to help. We would like to reiterate that we have had so many good experiences at Lilac Cottage before and that would be the only reason why we would like to return at a time when these issues have been resolved by management. Had this have been our first visit to yourselves we probably wouldn't have been returning ever again after last night's fiasco! Needless to say we commend the waiters and waitresses trying their best and hope this was just a one off due to management being away on holiday.
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldHad a family lunch together, everything was excellent from start to finish! Lamb casserole was especially delicious, very soft and tender Staff is very attentive, really helped us feel welcome Thank you!

The Royal Oak – NantwichNot sure if it's meant to be a restaurant or night club. Walked. Was met by a staff, told them we had a table booked. Looked bemused and asked if we intended to eat aswell. Considering we booked a table at a 'restaurant' was a little taken back. After shouting over the music for a few minutes she asked were we like to sit. We asked for a quite place to eat and chat. She shouted back stating we were in the quite place of the establishment. We eventually say down for all of 5 mins and left. But had an amazing time with brilliant food across the street at a place called the grill on the cross. 5* service from them. A rwal shame about the elmas. Wish I could give them minus stars.

The Royal Oak – NantwichNice food in pleasant surroundings, will definitely be returning!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortLovely food , great service . Fairly quite but it was early on Sunday . Definitely going back and taking the family .
Babba – WarringtonBooked a table for 4 for Sunday night at 6pm. We arrived and we’re seated and presented with the menus. We all chose the Sunday beef roast. When they arrived the meals looked pretty small and took approx 5 mins later for the veg to arrive. We started to eat and two out of the main meals the two roast potatoes (that’s all we got and they were tiny) were rock hard and we couldn’t eat them along with the Yorkshire puddings. The meat was ok and the veg was nice albeit small portions also and were not big eaters. We then asked for another round of drinks and 10 mins later they hadn’t arrived so we had to ask again. When the waitress came to take our plates away she asked if everything was ok, we explained about our meals and she said she would mention it to the chef, she then returned to say that the two meals that we mentioned wouldn’t be charged for. We thought this was very decent of them however we were still hungry so had to order a dessert instead and that was delicious. The Royal Oak is really nice inside and outside but was just a pity the food wasn’t Upto scratch and probably sadly we wouldn’t return.
