Our party of 5 had a very nice meal at a pub I have been too plenty of times before. Staff were as friendly and welcoming as always and the food was plentiful and very tasty. Piping hot on warm plates. Nice atmosphere and quite busy. Bit of a trek from where we live but well worth it.

Neither of us had any knowledge of the Bacchus but from the moment we entered the restaurant to the minute we left, everything, welcome, ambience, service and, of course, the food, was perfect. My Angus steak was the best I had for decades, on par with one I had at the restaurant of Antony Worral Thompson. To illustrate, I don’t have to apply any pressure to the knife to cut through it - absolutely superb. I look forward to taking my wife there when we next visit our daughter. In the interim, I wish them all the best.

Pacino’s – ChesterFirst visit to the white lion on the evening of 26/3/26, nice surprise to find blue badge parking direct in front of entrance. My partner and I were received in a friendly manner and directed to a comfy table, drinks order was delivered promptly. Food menu was extensive with a good range of starters, mains and sweets. Our order was prompt, hot and delicious, followed by feedback enquiry as to our thoughts on the food and service. We left feeling well fed, and planning to visit again. The white lion is a recommended venue for great food and drinks, well managed with a pleasant atmosphere.

We were out with friends who came to visit us from Oxford, as we don’t often eat out. The only thing that let the pub down was that i ordered a steak burger and in my last bite of the burger there was a plastic sheet in it.

We’d not been to Panama Hatty’s for years but have been telling our friends how much we enjoyed it and we’ll definitely be back soon.

No apologies and apparently no kettle in the kitchen! The dessert that should have been warm was served cold. The staff lacked good customer service skills. Quite disappointing.
