We went to The Mad hatter's afternoon tea party. What a fabulous time we had. The afternoon tea was delicious and plenty of it. The Mad Hatter’s were very entertaining. The tables were dressed just as it was the Mad Hatter’s tea party. A very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it. There were 15 of us and everyone enjoyed it.

The food was amazing along with the friendly and attentive staff, good portions and very reasonable prices, been coming for years and will continue

We visited mid week so were able to take advantage of the 2 course value menu which was excellent. Service was good, food was superb, nice cosy atmosphere, wine is a reasoable price. Will definatell visit again.

We held our ‘night before’ wedding drinks and dinner at the Edgerton and were able to have sole use of the restaurant. We ordered large trays of lasagne, garlic bread, salad and a choice of cold desserts and the food was fantastic! All the staff were very attentive and all our guests had a fab evening, thank you.

This is my third time having afternoon tea and I can’t rate it high enough. Excellent service, atmosphere and value for money. I will be back.

First time at this hotel and was really impressed . Our room was lovely , really comfortable bed . We had dinner in restaurant and again was superb. Staff were friendly and really helpful and the bonus was we could leave our car there . Had an early morning flight and hotel organised taxi which was included in price . Top marks .

Had an excellent meal with my sister here recently. I had a very pleasant curry and she had the Ham and Eggs. Food cooked to perfection. Service excellent and an ambient and pleasant atmosphere. I have been here a few times before and it never fails to impress.

Sunday afternoon tea. Tea and sandwiches were good. Champagne so so. Cream not clotted. Scones a little heavy, too much flour. Service was fine.

Overall we had a lovely time at The Plough but we sadly had a couple of niggles. The Yorkshire puddings were not if their usual standard and we had to send back a dessert which can only be described as ‘stodgy’. That was dealt with but it’s disappointing when the quality isn’t what you have come to expect. We will be back and hope that it was just a one off

Starters were lovely but a false dawn followed by average fish and chips and overcooked pie and a very odd chicken Parmasan Wine full of sediment told it was normal although it was taken off the bill Manager unavailable Serving staff lovely the right level of attentiveness and very cheerful Booking online easy and effective Good communication pre and post booking Parking good and lovely presented pub But as people have said there’s a lot of competition and we won’t be returning

Lovely Italian restaurant with good choice of menu. Food excellent and the service was great. Only two of us in this occasion but a nice mix of customers.
