Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldThe food and service was good a very small choice of desserts
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyWe have visited Bacchus several times with various family members and friends. This time we took our granddaughter and her fiancé. As always it was the perfect dining experience. We all agreed it is an outstanding restaurant. My granddaughter has to eat gluten free foods and the attention to detail given by the staff to ensure she had a choice of dishes was second to none. I cannot praise this restaurant enough.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldVery welcoming and happy to accommodate our little dog. Warm & comfy on a wet & windy day so we chatted to our friends in a convivial atmosphere. The food was fine but unfortunately the leek & potato soup was too highly spiced so we had to leave it.
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamWe all enjoyed our delicious food. Everything was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyThis is pretty much the only pub I'll go in around the local area and theres a few reasons why. For a drink, the small bar area is cozy with seating and enough atmosphere from the locals to make a happy night and during the winter, the real fire makes a great addition for warmth. For a meal - the food is consistently good quality at a fair price. There's so many other pubs that charge way more but deliver far less. The staff and team are always friendly and are trying their best however busy the restaurant is. I've never had a problem and if there has been a mistake, its been sorted without question and the shortfall recovered beyond any other pub within 20 miles. The menu is small enough to trust but big enough to have a good choice. My personal favourite is the Sunday Roast selection - I don't want to big this up as I'd prefer to keep it just for me. Good quality meats, huge yorkies and a great selection of veggies with a rich gravy make it my first choice of restaurant roast lunches. As a second choice, its rare to find a chef that can cook liver properly and its great to see it remain as a favourite on the menus! The music is always spot on, both in volume and styles - I've never not been able to have a conversation or found it too loud in any part of the building. For me, its the perfect country pub to kick back, relax and let the pace of life drop away for a few hours.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichThe food is excellent and you get good helpings , the staff are really nice and friendly, best meal out!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortPolite staff, Brilliant service, beautiful food, stunning pub!
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichDon’t go, it’s hard enough to get a table now without more of you turning up. Terrible place, the beefs that tender it makes you ill every time you eat someone else’s. It’s exceptional. Not old fashioned, not “traditional”, just bloody good food and wine served how it should be. Eat here before you die and take someone you care about. They will enjoy it. Could not recommend more highly.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWent for lunch on Saturday, the food was excellent as always with the service and friendliness of the staff exemplary . We are always made to feel special, many thanks.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldSecond visit. Excellent food and attentive and prompt service in a calm and amenable setting. For us, absence of background music is a real positive.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe had a wonderful meal here last night in celebration of my birthday. The food was excellent, the staff charming and the slice of cake and icecream with a sparkler topper was sweet ! My only reservation was the noise level ! You certainly couldn’t hear the music!
Elmas Restaurant – LymmFood was lovely as usual. The man that served us was very accommodating and helped us with choices as we are a little fussy. Highly recommend
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyThis is a gorgeous hidden gem just a short walk from the town centre. Lovely food, great service and reasonably priced
Pacino’s – ChesterGreat food and very friendly service as always!
Pacino’s – ChesterFirst visit after a few years. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor has gone up a notch or two. The food was as good as we remembered it. Great service and we will definitely returning soon.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyPositively the staff and the food that was available was very good. However when we first sat down the waitress referred to the menu that was totally different from the one shown on line and which was one of the reasons for our visit. We were told that the hanging chicken kebab, the duck, chicken in black bean and something else that I can’t remember were not available. This was a big disappointment and I cannot really understand why they would run out of things on a Saturday night when they were not especially busy. Overall it was an enjoyable evening just a shame that we could not have our first choice dishes.
