We popped to The Slipway a couple of times during our week stay in Port Isaac. The staff who looked after us both times were delightful, lovely friendly welcome both times, attentive service and quick. The food was also very good. We would definitely recommend it to a couple looking for somewhere to eat. We didn’t book either time but expect that might be different during busier periods.

Dined at The Slipway yesterday, 4 April. We shared mussels and scallops to start, followed by fish and chips for my husband and the catch of the day for me — megrim sole served with potatoes and broccoli. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend, but be sure to book ahead.

Booked for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were one of the first to arrive to eat. Met by very friendly member of staff and shown to our table. We ordered 2 eggs benedict and scrambled eggs on toast with bacon. All food was delicious, eggs perfectly poached and bacon was very tasty. Place filled up quite quickly…. We don’t live in the area but if we were to return would love to try lunch or dinner….

Fabulous food!! Absolutely loved this place. Service was just lovely, we were made to feel very welcome and so was our dog. The food and wine really are superb. I would highly recommend Mote, particularly if you like fresh seafood prepared with love.

Brilliant experience from start to finish . Friendly welcoming staff and a great menu / specials . The Hake I chose was excellent as was my partners meal . Desserts were well priced and delicious . Looking forward to visiting again in the near future . Highly recommended . We chose on the basis of other great reviews.

Fantastic roast beef. Just what we needed on a wet and windy day. Lovely friendly service and very accommodating with our 2 dogs. Will definitely be back.

Visited for a bottomless brunch while in Falmouth for the weekend. It’s a small venue with a great atmosphere and, although it was very busy, we were very well looked after and all staff worked incredibly hard. Would definitely recommend

Excellent food, husband had roast pork, I had the lamb. Lots vegetables and all was piping hot. We sat inside on a table that we had reserved, lovely chatty atmosphere, service was very quick, it was a busy Sunday lunchtime, definitely good value for money. Very extensive menu, something for everyone. Will definitely visit again and very happy to recommend

The food was good, plenty of choice and a step above the usual pub food. It’s a shame the fire wasn’t alight, the room was very chilly so we didn’t stay long.
