Had a lovely brunch up at Louis yesterday to celebrate a friend's 75th birthday. Always courteous staff and friendly atmosphere

Visited for the first time since refurbishment and new owners. We were a group of friends and had a table booked for 1.pm it was a fairly busy Saturday lunchtime and there was only one front of house member of staff working. She did an absolutely fantastic job serving behind the bar, serving food and clearing tables but inevitably it meant a bit of a wait. However after checking out the specials which were on a separate board from the menu and finding out which items were unavailable that day, we placed our order at the bar. The food took a little time to come out but that was fine because, when it arrived , it was very tasty. We finished our mains, waited for the plates to be cleared (waitress was still very stretched) and then headed to the specials board again to choose our puddings. We waited to place our order at the bar , only to be told that we couldn’t have any ad the kitchen closed at 2.30 (It was 2.40) Despite the lovely waitress going to ask in the kitchen if pudding were available, the answer came back that the kitchen says no! I find it quite incredible that a table of 4 people who had a booked a table at 1pm, had eaten 4 main meals and had also ordered 2 rounds of drinks, would be denied puddings - never in all my years of eating out have I had this experience before. Hopefully won’t experience it again as sadly, I doubt whether we’ll return.

Really enjoyed my chicken, which was advertised on the specials board. The roast was amazing. Apple and rhubarb crumble was really good but the star anise was not pleasant. We’ll definitely visit again. Thank you.

The food was superb. The beef fillet on a hot stone is AMAZING and the beef burger was delicious. The cocktails are great and Emily, our server was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too and the staff aswell. Thanks to all your team you have a great place.

Delicious home cooked food, lovely service and very good value. A gem!

We booked a table for 9 as a surprise for my husband's birthday. Easy parking, great service, good value for money on food. We didn't realise it was quiz night so that was a bonus and there was a great atmosphere in the pub. Really fun night.

Amazing meal yesterday evening, so glad I booked the table as the place was full!! The cocktails were great and the food was very good, 2 fillet steak on hot stone and 2 chicken supreme main meals delivered with a smile and piping hot. We will deal be back!!

Myself ,husband & son all bookedin for a meal on 22nd . Easy to book arrived a found our table. Waitress came over welcomed us to Louis provided us all with the menu asked what drinks we would like and in less than a minute we were served our drinks . As we had sll decided what we wanted she took our food order. Took about 5mins and our meals arrived piping hot and looking delish. My husband had Fishpie which has various pieces of fish topped with cheesy mash accompained with garden peas. Son had Scampi ,chips and garden peas. I has Beef Lasange eith garlic bread and small side salad. All servings were very well sized and exceptional quality that you come to expect ehen eating at Louis. No matter what time of day or what meal you order the food is always fresh and hot and very tasty. Portions excellent value. Staff are friendly restaurant is always clean snd welcoming. We all throughly enjoyed our meals. Service is 1st class.

Really lovely Sunday roast, nice fresh vegetables and tasty, tender meat. Staff were very attentive, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. Very many thanks, will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful Sunday roast , fresh tasty vegetables and good meat . Good to get our local pub back . Definitely recommend a visit .
