Best restaurant in grasmere , everything was superb , would highly recommend

First time at Sage and Vine but not the last, food was lovely, staff were brilliant nothing to much trouble.

Excellent service, excellent price and lovely homemade food. Vegetarian dishes were also excellent.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s never disappointed. Both the food and front of house are exemplary. Delicious food and friendly, helpful waiting staff. The Eccles Cake must be tried - delish!

It’s just brilliant from start to finish, the atmosphere is always great, the food is delicious, the staff are fantastic, it’s by far my favourite place to eat in Carlisle.

We loved everything about this beautiful , cosy restaurant ! Menus had great local options and food was really good ! Service was super friendly and all staff members were attentive and lovely ! Indeed a gem of a place with fab food and great service ! Thank you so so much !

Restaurant Review: Lewis’s Bistro – A Fantastic Dining Experience We recently had the pleasure of dining at Lewis’s Bistro, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the outstanding quality of the food. We ordered the Chicken Supreme and the Lamb, and both dishes were cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and flavorful, served with a rich, well-balanced sauce, while the lamb was beautifully prepared, full of depth and perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us fully satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. Service was another standout aspect of our visit. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring we were well looked after throughout our meal. Food arrived promptly, and we appreciated the genuine warmth and professionalism of the team. The only small downside was being seated near the door, where it could get a little chilly when it opened. If possible, we’d recommend requesting a table further inside for a more comfortable experience. That said, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise a fantastic meal. Overall, Lewis’s Bistro delivers excellent food, great portion sizes, and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience.

Wonderful as always. Best seafood risotto, we’ve been a few times on a Tuesday afternoon/early evening & there’s always a lovely atmosphere, excellent service & delicious food. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal it was served hot and very tasty. Service was very good pleasant friendly staff. The only thing that spoiled the night was a female customer that had a very loud laugh and we could not hear each other, this had nothing to do with the restaurant

Our 2nd visit and an Absolutely fabulous meal with my wife.the chicken,bacon and leek pie was to die for.the chips were amazing as well.the lady who served us was very engaging as well.couldnt fault any of it

We had a fabulous meal on Saturday as a group of 6. Easy to book a table via the website and the service was excellent, and the food perfectly delicious. We all ordered different things off the menu and we all really enjoyed our meals from start to finish. Portions are decent in size so we all left full. Only disappointment was we didn’t have room left for desserts!

Very good food and service, I could only justify a 4 for service because one of our meals had not been prepared. That said, the staff were very apologetic and got the meal prepared and out as quickly as they could and the food was worth waiting for. I had salad but pinched a few chips, wow the best chips I have tasted in a long time.

Absolutely sensational meal! The Pheasant Inn is a hidden gem in the crown of Keswick. Picking a main meal was a challenge as every item on the menu sounded incredible. We both went with the Venison Bourginion, the best cooked venison I have ever tasted. The Pheasant Inn is my new go to place locally.

Always visit this lovely place when we visit the area. Food and service are fabulous, super dog friendly, and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
