Food was delicious and very generous portions. The best sticky toffee pudding we’ve ever had! Great atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Our only complaint is that the chairs are a little big for the tables. My husband and I struggled to get our legs under which meant we were a bit uncomfortable during our meal. The pub was very busy so didn’t see another table to move to.

WOW!! The best meal I’ve had in Carlisle for a long time! First time going and staff were super friendly and helpful, giving tips on what dishes and how many to order. Super cosy environment, not too overcrowded so can actually feel comfortable when eating and be able to have a convo with each other! Great music too! And the food… most incredible pizza I’ve ever had! Bread sharing platter and tapas were amazing too, everything was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Had Sharing Fish Platter which is served with a selection of breads, was absolutely delicious, followed with Wood Fired Pear Crumble also delicious and just what was needed on a bitter cold January day. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive, we will definitely return. Thanks for a scrumptious lunch.

We booked a meal for Mikes birthday. Very friendly staff made us very welcome. Mike had chips eggs & ham. I had the fish pie. We had initially planned on ordering starters however, the main meals are a big portion! Therefore we ordered from the main menu. Very good value with plenty of choices. We really enjoyed our visit & planning to visit again soon. Good selection for allergies including GF.

Great food & service

We haven't been for quite some time, booked last minute and were lucky enough to get a table. The restaurant setting is fantastic, bright and airy decor, friendly knowledgeable staff. The food arrived quite quickly and was excellent, we all (3) had something different and it was all presented well and tasted amazing. Will definitely return and soon
