Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad dinner with friends on Saturday Night. Great selection of dishes and the food was fantastic when it arrived, well presented, hot and tasty. Good selection of wines, you could either choose your own or pick from the pared wines which i thought was a nice touch. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithSorry to say and I love to support local businesses but we went for Sunday lunch and the meal was terrible. There was five of us and all five thought our meals were appalling. My roast chicken was neither a breast or a leg and I feel it had been deeep fried as it was crispy. Sorry to say I won’t be going back.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithThe most delicious Sunday lunch, we haven't stopped talking about it since we went. Very good portions. Would absolutely recommend. Service is 10 out of 10 every single person we came across was very friendly and accommodating.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAlways go back to the Wheatsheaf for the best Sunday Lunch. Veggie option is awesome. Service always good no matter how busy. Thank you!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAbsolutely gorgeous food
Horse and Farrier – PenrithFab place, fantastic food and service . Such lovely ambience inside, beautiful building and aesthetic, keeping in line with the history of the building but modern. Fantastic menu, we were spoilt for choice! Can’t wait to come back
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a wonderful Sunday lunch here, it was delicious with a great portion too Excellent food & service Will definately be back
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat staff and lovely welcome. Sunday Roast (local lamb and beef) was beautifully cooked and presented. The lamb was melt in the mouth …I would have loved another slice! Very handy for a little wander up to Fairy steps.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had a booking for 5th April for my son’s birthday. We called the day before to check that the main menu was available, with it being Easter Sunday and we was told it was. We were greeted well on arrival and served drinks. After 15/20 mins of reviewing the menu, we were asked for our food order, to then be told all starters were off the menu and all burgers. Given half the party wanted a burger and all of us wanted a starter, this was a disappointment. We decided to leave and eat elsewhere. It would have been better to tell us on arrival for future reference.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe were lucky enough to have Easter Sunday lunch here. Roast beef, pork, chicken, the Lamb Henry and Lakeland steak pie were all wonderful. All the food was of the highest quality. Set in a traditional, dog friendly pub with a roaring log fire. We will definitely be back. (Already booked in)
