The food was delicious, service was excellent and the place was very welcoming. We couldn’t fault it and hope to come again when we are in Grasmere.

Food was beautiful. Staff (one in particular) wasn't great and we felt rushed to leave the restaurant even though it was only 8:30pm.

Fabulous food and Fabulous waiting staff, would highly recommend .

Sunday lunch was good.

We always try and visit Lewis's when staying in Grasmere and are never disappointed. It's a lovely little restaurant with great staff The menu is varied and food delicious. We weren't dissapointed again this time. It's a little gem in Grasmere!

What a gem of a pub, beautifully traditional, warm and comforting. Sunday lunch was delightful. Roast Beef with lovely veg, roast and mashed potatoes and a huge fluffy Yorkshire pud with loads of very tasty gravy. I will be going again. Thank you Anne

We often eat at the Hope and Anchor its lovely friendly pub , nice and warm in winter. With the log fire and the food is always excellent, Great for family’s has a good kids menu and lovely big garden at the rear for them to run around in summer. They day a amazing Sunday lunch

The Horse & Farrier has become a firm favourite during our annual visit to the Lakes and has never disappointed. Our 5th visit was for Sunday lunch and the food again was truly awesome. We will now return on Thursday for the quiz. We can thoroughly recommend it.

The food and staff are both superb. The location is outstanding. Gemma is always particularly helpful & friendly. It's s proper pub with restaurant quality (or better) food.

Me and my wife had dinner last Friday the service and food where excellent.

Very good meal, excellent that the provision is made for smaller portions for over 65 year olds. The pub was very busy so it was a bit cramped and noisy but this was well managed and the service was very good.

We were a party of 7 on Saturday March 7th and we all agreed the food was excellent. We really enjoyed our visit from the friendly attentive service, value for money and the most tasty food. 10/10

Lunch for 14 people was excellent. Food was delicious, served promptly and nice and hot. Staff are friendly and helpful and provided a great service.
