Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereI'm often in Carlisle with work and Le Mezzaluna is now my favourite place to eat while I'm there. I always book as I don't want to be disappointed! Food is delicious, service is great and I don't know how they do it for the prices they charge. Highly recommended by me.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleExcellent food and first class service. The pies are hand made on site and are delicious. In fact, everything we ate was of the highest quality. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. Highly recommended.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeI came to La Mezzaluna with ten friends in a Friday night. We enjoyed our evening, the service and food were both great. I would definitely go back again.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleGreat as always
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFabulous As Always
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe have now visited twice before gigs at the old fire station and can't wait to visit again. The food is amazing, spoilt for choice. Desserts are fabulous too. Brilliant attentive staff. Fabulous place for a meal.
Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleWelcoming, excellent ambience and prompt service. Great food, well presented. Very friendly staff
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe enjoyed an excellent meal at the Horse and Farrier. Three of us visited for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the roast.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithFood and service both amazing, lamb was cooked to perfection.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereMy cousins and I had a gorgeous meal here last Saturday. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff friendly and knowledgable about their food and wine. We all enjoyed our meals, altogether a fabulous little restaurant in Grassmere. We would definitely recommend it.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe visit the lakes from Northern Ireland as often as possible and we always ensure we visit the pheasant more than once during our stay, as the review states top marks in all areas it really has to be on your list to visit, you will not be disappointed, food amazing and plenty of it, tastes is 2nd to none, staff are brilliant and very welcoming you are made to feel like it's your local pub, it's dog friendly so our springer always comes along with us. Looking forward to our next visit, please look at the website to book in so you're not disappointed if there's no space.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOur neighbours and we, came on day after reopening, for dinner and a catch up. Each of us chose different mains from the mains, and we’re each wowed by the taste and quality of the offerings. Much different and more exciting than more standard pub fare otherwise locally (which is also good and hearty). But this menu is a step up, and stands out. Thank you. Oh! We then had dessert (boys ordered spoons). Absolutely delish (fyi honeycomb, lime sorbet, cream ice, as components to main item) We paid £75 per couple in total (incl service which we added as not auto included - that’s style. ). Thanks again.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithFood and service were incredible. Will definitely be back next time I am in Keswick and already recommended it to family visiting later in the year.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThis is a lovely country pub with great service and even better food. We enjoyed one of the best Roast Beef Sunday lunches we have ever had which also included a perfect Cauliflower Cheese. Every part of the dinner was perfect! Good wine selection, great local coffee and well kept independent Cumbrian real ales. The service was friendly and our table had lovely views!
Horse and Farrier – PenrithLovely little traditional pub. Sunday lunch excellent - full marks for food quality and portions sizes. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will visit again.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeSecond visit in 2 months. First for a birthday celebration at the end of December - great food for all of 5 of us from the Fish and Chips, to the Cobb Salad, and the Daily Pie Special - all were really pleased. Second visit on a Sunday with a limited menu because of Sunday roasts. Beef roast was ok; half a chicken roast wasn't - more of a quarter chicken leg plus thigh; cumberland sausage small but tasty; bubble and squeak awful to the point of unedible. Advice - steer clear of Sundays unless you want the beef roast - every other day of the week great food.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely evening at Adriano's, friendly, welcoming and happy staff. Possibly the best plate of olives (presentation, quantity and quality) that I've had. Tasty and fresh mains (1 x pizza and 1 pasta). Highly recommend this restaurant!
