Pheasant Inn – KeswickWhat a lovely place to eat with a nice atmosphere and good food and staff. The food was absolutely amazing and we had a great time.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had a lovely evening at La Mezzaluna ,tasty well presented food, found the staff friendly and efficient, will definitely recommend
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleA regular highlight whenever we visit Grasmere. Service is first class and the food is fabulous. A real treat
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat little bistro. Very tasty food with good choice of dishes and portions that were to everyones satisfaction. Good value especially compared to many of the pubs and restaurants in the lakes who seem to over price and under deliver. Not Lewis’s bistro. Went twice in three days. Warm welcoming atmosphere and a friendly buzz. Very welcoming staff who were warm and friendly and made for a great night out.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWonderful meal. Good quality home cooked food. We always come here when staying in keswick.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickEnjoyed fish and chips here several times over the past 2 years. They have always been excellent. On Thursday however we were very disappointed. The battery always super thin and crispy was thick and soggy on the bottom. We left most of it. Service was excellent.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFabulous food, great atmosphere & wonderful service!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe dined on a Sunday evening after what we had been told was a busy lunchtime. Unfortunately some of the menu wasn’t available and when the food came it appeared to be lunchtime warm ups. Yorkshires were dry and burnt, pork was tough. No beef, no cranberry sauce. Food was hot though and service was fine. This maybe isn’t reflective of usual quality but unfortunately was our experience!
The day was very wet but the evening at Lewis’s made up for the whole day. A warm and friendly welcome in an inviting and cosy ambiance. The food was amazing, mushrooms and scallop starters were full of flavour and thoroughly enjoyed. These delights were followed by a fantastic steak (surf and turf) and monkfish both of which were full of flavour. These were accompanied by a couple of bottles of an excellent Valpolicella and a cheeseboard that completed the evening. We would recommend this fantastic bistro as food this good is hard to find and should not be missed Sue and James
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely friendly atmosphere from the moment we stepped in the door , all staff were great we had a drink on arriving in Keswick and sat by a welcoming roaring fire , we booked Sunday lunch too on our stay for Mother’s Day they were really busy and we had to wait a little while for our table but as soon as it was ready they couldn’t do enough and were very apologetic , the food was great and plentiful, highly recommended
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had Sunday roast beef and lamb - have to say having had excellent meals without exception previously this meal was very disappointing- both the lamb and the beef looked and tasted like pre sliced meats and not from joints Veg was also a bit hard and no offer of additional gravy as advertised Also size of portions appears reduced for the same price Wouldn't eat Sunday roast there in future if that's the standard At least service remains good We had been very much looking forward to the meal but I'm afraid a let down- very surprised
