We had dinner on two occasions during our 4 night stay in Grasmere and our food was very well cooked, presented and very tasty. A lovely atmosphere with a good mix of locals and tourists.

No starters being served due to lack of staff , but our main courses were very generous .my hubby had Cumberland sausage and mash and l had the fabulous fish pie- no room for dessert- shame Would have no hesitation returning to The Pheasant

I’ve been veggie for 42 years and my husband vegan for longer and it was a great discovery and unfortunate we didn’t know about this place earlier. Definitely coming back.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAn impromptu visit to Grasmere and we booked a table at Lewis’s Bistro and we were glad we did. The small restaurant is well organised with an early and late sitting resulting in a relaxed service. Dining is informal so you can call in straight from a day on the fells and is dog friendly. The menu was varied with dishes well cooked and presented well. The wine list is good at a reasonable price point. We will definitely return in the future.
