Lovely setting, afternoon tea was different and tasty but rather overpriced for what there was.

The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenVery good food and well worth a visit but recommend you reserve a table. Easy to book a table online and table was ready when we arrived. Service was good with friendly and attentive staff.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLoved the lamb Henry and beef madras we had the other day. The lemon posset and orange and ginger cake were lovely also. Fast service. The pub was busy on the day we went. So I would recommend booking in advance.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad such a lovely time at the Pheasant Inn in Keswick! Went here on last night in the Lake District and it couldn't have been cozier. Wonderful atmosphere, the food was delicious and comforting, and the staff were so friendly. Can't wait to come back!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad a great meal at the bistro. French onion soup and belly pork were excellent. It had a friendly atmosphere, and the service was speedy and attentive. Portions were generous, but made room for the sweets which were lovely. Eccles cake with ice cream And Treacle and lemon curd. If your staying in Grasmere then it’s a must
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThis was my first stay at The Wheatsheaf and it certainly won’t be my last! Myself, my mum and my two puppies were welcomed with open arms and my pups were spoilt rotten by the staff with lots of biscuits! The rooms were so comfortable, with satellite TV and Netflix available; a lovely bathroom with modern facilities and gorgeous vintage furniture in the bedroom, we particularly loved the duvet - it has that lovely crunch that makes you feel so cosy! Breakfast can be included in the price and you get so much for your money! The dinner menu is also lovely - I had the salmon fillet main and sticky toffee pudding for desert. If you are staying in the hotel you can even take your drinks up to your room away from the hustle and bustle of the bar! Thank you so much again for making us so welcome!
