First time since lockdown eating out we chose the bake house and we were not disappointed. The food was perfect we each had different meals and all were delicious. For such a busy place the staff all looked organised, well managed and clearly had everything under very good control, waiting Staff and kitchen. In fact the staff all looked very calm and very friendly considering the amount of customers. A very well organised team in my opinion, and this proved with the service as well as the Food delivered. Will certainly be back soon.

Food was delicious. No complaints. I was concerned there were a number of staff not wearing face coverings. There was an exemption lanyard for one member but not all. Can’t fault the venue or the door tho. Thank you..

Had first meal out yesterday, food was delicious and piping hot. It was very busy, did think some tables were too close together , which made me feel a little uncomfortable. The new decor etc was lovely very attractively finished and the chairs were comfy. My second problem came when I went to the bathroom, the paper towel holder was next to the loo and not over or near the sink, not very hygenic.

Staff very helpful and pleasant, food was really good and good quality. The seating area is lovely, bright and airy and the guidelines for Covid 19 appeared to be followed, we felt very safe and will be returning.

Been many times to The Bakehouse and the food has always been excellent. The newly refurbishment restaurant is outstanding the whole look is stylish but still keeps the country feel to it. Staff were all friendly and efficient as always and nothing was too much trouble. I need that there were no mirrors in the ladies toilets. Well done.

On arrival the covid checking was good, and the waitresses were very good. The one thing was we waited for 40 minutes for our meals to arrive, and we'd already finished our drinks. This was for a lunchtime booking.

My wife and I enjoyed the afternoon tea at Cedar Manor. The whole experience was brilliant! The setting was beautiful. The service from Jonathan was amazing - really nice guy, enjoyed chatting to him. The savoury starters were all extremely tasty. And then the tiered platter with the cakes and various patisseries was incredible. Gotta say, the stars of the show were the buttermilk scones. Probably the best scones I've ever had. They also offered a great range of teas and coffee, which complemented all the food wonderfully. Can't fault it! Will be returning as soon as we're back in the Lakes.

Couldn’t fault service, setting or food. Outstanding. Staff very friendly and hard working. Maybe helpful to have clearer signage re how to find parking in front of Bakehouse. It’s very tucked away especially in the dark. At first it feels like it’s all closed until you venture to the side.

The place, atmosphere and food were great. However service has haphazard, we had to ask for everything more than once, there appeared to be a lot of floor staff just wondering, the cakes had no labels and the table wasn’t cleared until we asked. It took 2 hours for for 2 course. It wouldn’t stop us coming again but we would hope for better service.

Staff were all welcoming and efficient and made sure everyone was seated safely. Really easy to book a table on line all went smoothly. Whilst staying in Windermere we booked to have the afternoon tea. On arrival we were met by the charming owner Jonathan and given the opportunity to take tea outside on the patio. He then attended to our requirements for the whole of the experience. Delicious sandwiches and cakes with fresh cooked scones and homemade jam. Plentiful supply of tea of choice. Unhurried and very relaxed afternoon. Would highly recommend a visit. A perfect choice for afternoon tea.

What a fabulous afternoon tea! Cedar Manor go the extra mile to make their afternoon tea special. They started with a small soup topped with spiced oil and this was followed by a small prawn cocktail. Then we were served with fresh sandwiches- the smoked salmon and lemon butter was delicious. Then came the stand of freshly made cakes and scones. My favourite was the mini lemon meringue which was so light and tangy. Homemade jam was delightfully flavoursome. The service was exceptional and the quality of everything too class.
