We had a wonderful meal on Wednesday, the service was spot on, the food plentyful, cooked very well full of flavour. Excellent value for money if we lived closer we'd be dining here more often. Will definitely be booking again the next time we're in Carlisle.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely restaurant and very pleasant young waiter made for a nice evening. Vegetarian main options were limited to a salad and a macaroni cheese . Given that vegetarians are usually paying similar prices for cheaper ingredients , I feel restaurants should be judged by the care and time put into creating imaginative vegetarian dishes and expertise in cooking - there are so many brilliant vegetarian recipes out there it should not be a problem - the macaroni dish was penne in a very liquid cheese source - I believe I would have served a better and more balanced version of this dish for any weekday family dinner so I can’t rate highly I’m afraid.

The service was well organised and we were well looked after by our servers. Enjoyed all the food, Prawn mojito was a belter, washed down with a coronarita 10/10 again! The birthday boy even got a tequila shot from a human sized cactus........ i will leave this one for you to figure.....
