Visited la mezz Thursday. My hubby and I had a starter.mozzy and mushrooms. Lush. Main was pizza. I had ham and pineapple . Again lush. Hubby had a seafood pizza. He loved it. Great service. Reasonable prices.10/10. We will be back.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereNot easy to book. On line or nothing. Starters were good. Tables in the window far too close to each other. Less than a metre between tables. Mains were poor. Steak asked medium rare, served very well done. Waitress sincere and apologetic. Owner / manager not, poor attitude. When time and eating together are closely linked an offer to cook a fresh steak to the required level is not always the answer. We noted that another customer was not happy with how his rack of lamb was cooked. Overall a disappointing experience. Would not return when Grasmere has so many good well established places to eat at all levels. Service rating relates to the waitress. Management would not get 1.

Decor has changed and is lighter and brighter than I remember, but still unable to outshine the fantastic cooking , superb service and value for money. My job takes all over the country and in pre Covid times a lot of Europe and I genuinely rate this place in my top 5 . You will struggle to find cooking of this quality for this price. Well done guys, hopefully I will be back. Soon

Only wish I lived near as I would make it a regular place to eat. If ever am back over that way I will definitely eat there again.
